Meet the Crew: Q&A with Eric

As part of our dedication to the perfect yachting journey, we would like to introduce you to the people who make us #1 for our award-winning service on the seas. This week we are pleased to introduce you to Eric, our Hotel Manager on board SeaDream I. Eric has enjoyed two tenures with SeaDream, beginning in 2002, where he has started his career as a server. After working as our Chief Bartender, Sommelier, and Maître d’, Eric assumed the role of Hotel Manager. Originally from Paris, where he attended several hospitality and culinary schools, Eric leads his team in providing the personalized service that defines SeaDream and is honored to mentor our crew.

Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Caribbean—and why?

A: I love St. Barths, in that it has an understated cosmopolitan feeling that is different from all the other islands in the Caribbean. Its beautiful beaches, amazing food, and great mix of people from all over the world who live and work there, make it truly special. The laid-back French-infused vibe makes me feel right at home.

Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Mediterranean—and why?

A: I love Seville, Spain, for its vibrant culture, tapas and wine bars, and art and architecture—the Real Alcazar Palace, the Seville Cathedral, and the Plaza de Espana, to name a few highlights. It’s a beautiful city that offers travelers so much, plus it’s incredible to experience this Andalusian city through the perspective of its historical neighborhoods.

Q: Where does “It’s Yachting, Not Cruising®” mean to you?

A: One phrase: Small, intimate, personalized service, with impeccable attention to detail.

Q: What is it that you love most about SeaDream?

A: My crew members are my second family.
