This week we are pleased to introduce you to Nick, our Club Director on board SeaDream II. Nick has been working in hospitality at sea for more than 25 years now, boasting “the sea is the only place I want to be.” He brings a wealth of destination experience to SeaDream, having traveled to more than 150 countries and islands.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Caribbean—and why?
A: I would have to say my favorite area is the British Virgin Islands. Simply sailing through the area is a remarkable sight. If I had to choose one particular island within the British Virgin Islands, it would have to be Norman Island. I believe it to be a true yachting destination that is unspoiled with gorgeous hikes along the sea as well as beautiful white-sand beaches.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Mediterranean—and why?
A: The Dalmatian Coast is my absolute favorite. We call on the most authentic and small destinations along this sparkling coastline. From its rich history to its walkable cities, the Dalmatian coast shines with natural beauty. The climate is also ideal, providing the most beach days per year than perhaps anywhere else in the Mediterranean.
Q: Where does “It’s Yachting, Not Cruising®” mean to you?
A: To me, it means the one-on-one attention we provide to every aspect of the guest experience. The destinations we call to are a significant component of the yachting lifestyle—we are able to access areas that big ships simply cannot. The feeling on board is one of relaxation and casual elegance. It also means that any guest can find their favorite spot to enjoy on board and have it be their own private alcove.
Q: What is it that you love most about SeaDream?
A: Having been at sea for more than twenty-five years now, most of it spent on big ships, I can say that I adore the crew the most. I have been able to work alongside the best team I have ever encountered in the industry. I’ve rediscovered what it means to travel and see new places thanks to our yachts’ capabilities of navigating to unspoiled areas.
