SEADREAM YACHT CLUB Names Howland Business Development Director Germany


Janette Howland, 25-year veteran of the international travel industry, has been appointed Business Development Director, Germany for SeaDream Yacht Club, operator of the twin, ultra-luxury mega yachts, SeaDream I and II.

The announcement was made by Larry Pimentel, CTC, President and CEO, SeaDream Yacht Club who said �This appointment marks an important step for us in the European region. The German market that Howland will cover is exceedingly healthy and ideal for SeaDream�s ultra-luxury, small ship operations.�
Howland�s responsibilities in Germany include development of individual and group bookings as well as full ship charters for corporate meetings, incentive groups and individual families. She will work closely with individual travel agencies and consortia as well as those companies involved in yacht chartering.

Howland�s efforts will be coordinated by Diane Friberg, SeaDream�s Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Europe.
Howland has an interesting history in the travel industry, a history that has taken her from a career that began as a room maid in a German hotel to proprietor of her own travel representational company.

Born and educated in Scotland, Howland has spent the past 26 years in Germany and is fluent in the language. The journey from room maid to business executive in Germany has included management positions with American Express International, Choice Hotels International, United Vacations/United Airlines Germany, Hilton Hotels and Marco Polo Hotels.
