Destination Spotlight: Turks and Caicos

Few things get us more excited than adding entirely new destinations to our itineraries. And with the recent unveiling of 33 new voyages for 2022, there is plenty to be excited about. One tropical paradise we are particularly delighted to see on our schedule is Turks and Caicos. Located between The Bahamas and the Dominican Republic, Turks and Caicos is a British Overseas Territory consisting of a chain of islands and cays with a global appeal.

Why visit Turks and Caicos? There are countless reasons why Turks and Caicos should be on every avid traveler’s bucket list. Here are our top three:

  1. Amazing beaches. Few places in the world come close to having the high caliber of beaches found in Turks and Caicos with pristine waters and sandy shores that appear as if straight out of a postcard. Many of its beaches often grace “Best Beaches” lists curated by authoritative publications in the travel industry.
  2. Every water sport imaginable. Snorkeling, windsurfing, fly fishing, and paddleboarding are just a few of the many activities available to visitors when visiting this stunning destination. Regardless of your fitness or experience level, there is a fun activity waiting just for you.
  3. History and attractions. Visit the Grand Turk Lighthouse, historical Cockburn Town, museums and the old salinas that remain from Turks and Caicos’ long history as a center for the sea salt industry. You will find Turks and Caicos fascinating at every turn.

For our 2022 season, SeaDream has selected two ports to explore and introduce our SeaDreamers to Turks and Caicos the SeaDream way.

The first one is the capital island of Grand Turk. If we were to describe it in just a few words, we would say exquisite beaches and sun-kissed waters. For almost every activity, there’s a dedicated beach for you to relax, kayak, or simply watch windsurfers. Enjoy some of the Caribbean’s best snorkeling and diving options as you bask in the scenic milieu of Turks and Caicos.

Grand Turk is the historical center of Turks and Caicos. Many believe it is where Christopher Columbus first made landfall in his first voyage to the New World. Today, Grand Turk is celebrated for its many amazing attractions and natural beauty. Novice and professional divers can all enjoy viewing diverse marine life and corals.

SeaDream will also be exploring Providenciales. Home to the world’s most magnificent shorelines and independent snorkeling, Providenciales is a can’t miss destination. Visit the Island Fish Fry for great local dining, spend the day lounging across the turquoise waters, and take a dive in one of the most diverse underwater marine life in Bohio Dive Resort. Indulge in every minute of this paradise.

Providenciales is the most developed of the Turks and Caicos Islands and is home to an array of luxury resorts. Enjoy the stunning 12-mile Grace Bay Beach, visit the world’s first conch farm or discover the many water activities available in this beautiful destination. If land activities are more your style, you’ll be interested in visiting the Provo Golf Club, an award-winning 18-hole championship golf course.

When you book SeaDream for your next luxury Caribbean cruise, you’ll never look at this region the same way again. Discerning guests choose SeaDream for their vacation because of their love for the yachting and a casual yet luxurious lifestyle. With an award-winning crew and amenities to keep you relaxed and pampered, you’ll never find a more rewarding voyage on the seas. If you are after that sort of remarkably different yachting experience, you have come to the right place.
