    Description

Find out today why the charming island of Saba has been dubbed the "unspoiled queen." This SeaDream Land Adventure will introduce you to the island's history and main points of interest and is your best and most convenient way to "see it all." Your sightseeing is conducted in the local taxi vans that await to show you the island's main villages and magnificent scenery. Starting at the port, you first visit "The Bottom", Saba's capital. Then continue through St. John's, home to the island's schools, where you have an incredible vantage point of the neighboring islands of St. Eustatius, St. Kitts and Nevis. Then pass through Windward Side, the village at the highest elevation, en route to Zion’s Hill. See the local ladies working on their Lacework at a local shop, and there's a beautiful view of Saba's death-defying airport and surrounding islands from the Holy Rosary Church. Finally, return to Windward Side for some free time to explore the village, do some shopping or grab a snack before returning to the harbor. Please do not judge the beauty of this magnificent island by the industrial looking harbor. This island simply should not be missed.

From the tender pier, you get to the starting point by local taxi van and set out with your local nature guide. The guide will point out the island flora as the trail leads you through the rainforest, across fields and over a forest ridge. The trail continues through pasture land, highlighting views of The Bottom and secondary rainforest, until it meets with the Mt. Scenery Trail. This is the "Must-see & Do" land adventure on Virgin Gorda, if not in the entire British Virgin Islands. Open-air safari wagons will take you and your fellow SeaDreamers on a short twenty minute ride through the village of Spanish Town to discover The Baths, an intriguing group of sea caves and unusual rock formations, spectacularly set on an amazing beach. From the parking area follow the winding footpath down to the beach to explore this geological wonder. Wade knee deep through the sea caves formed by mammoth boulders and bask in the shafts of sunlight pouring through the natural ceiling into the pools below. Learn about the boulders' origins and the many curious names given to the rock formations. Swim, relax and enjoy the ambiance of this piece of paradise. Notes

Please bring swimwear, towel and sunscreen. The portion of the adventure involving actual exploration of the cave area can be considered strenuous to some so set your own pace; do as much or as little as you wish. • Anegada - Independent Exploration by 4x4 159(USD)

    Description

One favorite option is to rent one of the small jeep-like vehicles and discover several of the magnificent beaches on a self-guided exploration of the island. Allow yourself plenty of time to get around this 10-mile long island, time for the beaches, snorkeling and time for lunch (not included). Remember the island is mostly sand and even the roads are almost exclusively of sand – do not drive off the road as you might get stuck and find no one to help. We suggest a circular route around the island and you can start in a westerly direction driving to the beautiful beaches at West End Point. From there drive towards the north coast and we highly recommend a stop at the famous Cow Wreck Bay. Spend time swimming, enjoy some refreshment or try one of the famous conch fritters served at the Cow Wreck Beach Bar & Grill (not included). After time on the beach continue along the north coast until you reach Loblolly Bay. This is another amazing beach and it also offers excellent snorkeling as well as some shade under the Sea-Grape trees. There you will also find a beach bar and grill in case you are getting hungry. If you are energetic, I love the fantastic snorkeling right off the beach at Flash of Beauty, a few more minutes east of Loblolly Bay (yes there is also a small bar). From Loblolly Bay head through the center of the island past the airport towards The Settlement. From there continue west along the southern road back to the pier at Setting Point. You can also start this drive counterclockwise and begin with a drive towards The Settlement and then Loblolly Bay followed by Cow Wreck Bay. No matter which direction you prefer, bring a sense of adventure, plenty of protection from the sun, a couple of towels, your snorkel gear, extra water and enjoy a day of swimming and snorkeling on one of the Caribbean’s most unique islands.

    Notes

The price shown is per car/van for the duration of our stay on the island. Each car accommodates up to four adults in reasonable comfort (up to 6 guests per van). Type of cars: Small Samurai, Swift, Baleno or similar. Limited automatic cars are available, most have stick shift. Be sure to bring your credit card and driver’s license. The price also includes full risk insurance with a $1,000 deductible. The deductible is fully or partially charged to the drivers’ credit card in case the car is returned damaged. Also included are government taxes, fuel cost and the local BVI temporary Driving license for 1 driver. Please note that beach chairs and changing facilities are not available but restrooms are available at the restaurant/bars on Cow Wreck Bay and Loblolly Bay. There are only a limited amount of cars and vans available on the island and basically no taxis. We strongly recommend you book early to avoid disappointment. Please wear your swimsuit, bring suntan lotion, a hat and a towel and your snorkel gear.
