Yachting Land Adventure

Charming Italy Dolceacqua

Enjoy the tranquility of Italian countryside! Leaving Monaco you will drive to Dolceacqua via the coastal road. You will drive from the French Riviera, passing Menton, to the Italian Riviera, also called Flower Riviera, passing through the border town of Ventimiglia. The village is in the Nervia valley at the western end of Liguria (north-west Italy) very close to the border with France. With ancient stone houses on narrow paved alleys, an attractive humpback bridge over a scenic river and a castle overlooking the village Dolceacqua makes an enjoyable excursion from the Riviera di Ponente and the busy French Riviera and Ligurian coast. Dolceacqua is also known for the olives which are grown in abundance in the region, the locally grown flowers, and a decent red wine called Rossese produced from grapes grown in the surrounding hills. You will arrive in the small beautiful village of Dolceacqua, native town of the powerful Doria family; the ruins of their castle can still be seen (visit not included). This medieval village is split in two parts (old and new) by the Nervia river, and gives the name to one of the most important wines of the region, rossese of Dolceacqua. After some guided tour, some free time will be allowed in the village which offers some handcraft galleries & shops to discover. Then continue by bus farer into the countryside for a stop at Isolabona for a Tasting of local specialities with a glass of Rossese di Dolceaqua and after return to Monaco and your SeaDream yacht.
