Bosa and Sardinia's Western Coastline
The Western Coast of Sardinia is a place where the coast starts out low and golden, then rears up into gigantic cliffs that plunge straight into the purest blue sea. Travel this scenic route to discover Bosa, one of Sardinia’s seven Royal Cities under the Savoy dynasty and one of Sardinia’s most beautiful towns.
From the port of Alghero, you start heading southwards for approximately 60 minutes along the coastline toward Bosa. Seen from a distance; Bosa’s rainbow townscape with pastel houses stacked on a steep hillside and tapering up to the majestic golden Malaspina Castle will impress you! In front, moored fishing boats bob on a glassy river elegantly lined with palm trees. Upon arrival, you will have 2 hours to explore Bosa, including a guided visit with free time and a local wine tasting.
Reflect on the baroque style Cathedral of Saint Mary, red stoned and colorfully painted building, historic architecture of its two bridges, quaint marina and town center as you travel back to Alghera and the yacht.
