Begin your day by meeting your local guide at the pier before boarding a comfortable coach for a grand tour of Denmark’s capital. Your first stop is Rosenborg Castle, a magnificent Renaissance landmark set in the heart of the city. Built between 1606 and 1607 by King Christian IV in the Dutch Renaissance style, Rosenborg was originally intended as a summer retreat but went on to serve as a royal residence for nearly a century. Since 1838, the castle has been a museum, showcasing an extraordinary collection of royal artifacts from the reigns of Christian IV through Frederik VII. In the basement, you’ll find the Royal Treasury, home to countless treasures, including the dazzling Danish crown jewels and regalia adorned with gold, diamonds, and precious stones.
