Your adventure begins with a short drive to Pigeon Creek & Snow Bay National Park on the southeast coast of San Salvador. Here, you will board a pontoon boat for a scenic journey through a coastal paradise. Relax and let the serene surroundings of Pigeon Creek wash over you. The lagoon's sparkling turquoise waters are fringed by mangrove forests and pristine white sands. As you glide through this tranquil haven, watch for starfish, turtles, rays, sharks, and colorful tropical fish. Birdwatchers may spot species like herons, egrets, cormorants, Bahama Woodstar hummingbirds, and Bananaquit songbirds. Your journey continues to the magnificent sandbank at Low Cay Sound, a dream-worthy oasis of powdery white sand surrounded by crystal-clear waters.     Guests must be in good physical condition to participate, and the minimum age for this tour is 5 years; a waiver is required to take part. The tour involves a short walk to the pontoon boarding dock. This excursion is not accessible for guests with limited mobility, and mobility devices cannot be accommodated. Snorkeling equipment is included. Wildlife sightings, while common, cannot be guaranteed. Guests must be 18 or older to be served alcohol. Recommended attire includes light clothing and beach wear, along with sunscreen (strongly suggested), a beach towel, hat, and sunglasses. This Yachting Land Adventure must be confirmed no later than 72 hours (3 days) prior to arrival in port; bookings may still be accepted after this deadline, up to the time of arrival, if space is available. Please note that cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival in port are non‑refundable.   • San Salvador - Snorkeling San Salvador's Coral Gardens 149(USD)

    Description

    Set out from the pier aboard a catamaran bound for two of San Salvador's finest reef sites, where the water is celebrated for a clarity found in few places in the Caribbean. A certified snorkel instructor accompanies you into the shallows, where coral gardens open below in amber, violet and gold. Soft corals and sea fans sway with the current, orange and red starfish rest on floors of white sand, and sponges and reef fish crowd the formations rising from the seabed below you. At the second site, tidal currents have carved the rock into archways and sheltered channels alive with juvenile fish. Parrotfish graze along the coral heads while blue tangs, angelfish, trumpetfish and sergeant majors drift past in open water. No previous experience or diving certification is required, and all equipment is provided. Afterward, return to the catamaran for the crossing back to the marina, stepping ashore at the pier two hours after setting out, with San Salvador's underwater world still vivid in mind.

    Description

    Explore Long Island and experience two of its most impressive natural wonders – one dripping with stalactites, the other plunging 663 feet down into the world's second-deepest saltwater blue hole! Step aboard your air-conditioned bus at Gordon's Beach for an island exploration seeing its highlights: Gun Hill, the highest point in Clarence Town and the historic St. Peter and Paul church with stunning views of the harbor. Next, travel along the scenic Queen's Highway, to the world-famous Dean's Blue Hole. Surrounded by limestone bluffs and a splendid white-sand beach, this setting is idyllic for relaxing along the unspoiled Caribbean shore. But the real attraction here is to wade, or swim out, through the shallows to where the sandy seafloor suddenly disappears – suddenly dropping 663 feet into the world's second-deepest saltwater blue hole. Or dare to be brave and adventurous by climbing up the rocky pathway and plunge into the blue depths below. Afterwards, you will return to your bus for a short drive to Hamilton's Cave. Your expert guide leads you to survey the labyrinthine of darkness in the Bahamas' largest cave system. Multiple chambers open to reveal impressive stalactites and stalagmites formed over centuries as well as many bats who (fortunately) mostly slumber during the daytime in the crevices of the caves. All too soon it is time to rejoin your bus for the 30-minute drive to the yacht waiting at Gordon's Beach.

    This Yachting Land Adventure includes walking for approximately 1 hour over uneven ground with limited light at the cave and driving over somewhat rough road to reach Dean's Blue Hole beach. Please wear flat, comfortable shoes suitable for the cave excursion, and dress in swimwear with cover-up for the beach visit. Be sure to bring along a hat, sunscreen, and your towel from the yacht. There is a restroom break on the tour. We recommend you bring US dollars to purchase any food or drink from the small local vendors. Please note the itinerary may be operated in reverse order.
