  • Emerald Bay, Great Exuma Island - Emerald Bay ATV Adventure

    Description

    Experience Great Exuma in a unique and thrilling way on a guided ATV tour across the island. Big things come in small packages, and that saying was never truer than in Great Exuma, just 37 stunning miles long and ready to be explored.

    The convoy sets off with a stop at Pjs Farm, a taste of authentic island life before the adventure really begins. From there, discover the best of Great Exuma's history: St Margaret's Anglican Church, one of the oldest churches in the country, built in 1848, and the Pompey Steventon Museum, the island's first prison, named in honor of Pompey, a courageous slave who lived on the Rolle Plantation at Steventon.

    Next, the trail opens up to Exuma's wild side, a scenic cove known for sea turtle sightings, followed by Isaac Bay, a hidden beach tucked away from the crowds. Venture on to a natural cave that once sheltered locals from storms and, legend has it, pirates hiding their treasure.

    The beaches in Exuma are incredibly beautiful, with crystal clear waters to match. Stop at Exuma Point Beach to take it all in, then ride the off-trail road to Coco Plum Beach for a fresh coconut snack and the chance to experience true paradise, fine white sand, fresh sea air, and the perfect finish before heading back to the ATV base and the yacht.

    The price for this YLA is per vehicle, not per person. One ticket is valid for two people. Single riders must still purchase the full two-seat vehicle. Drivers must be 25 years old and up with a valid driver's license to drive the ATV
    This tour is not wheelchair accessible. Guests should expect a moderate level of physical activity, including walking on sand, cobblestones, and steps. ATV touring in the Bahamas involves unpaved, rural roads that can be dusty, uneven, or rutted. Turtle sightings at the Cove are wildlife-dependent and not guaranteed, as sea turtles are wild animals and sightings vary by day, tide, and season. The minimum age to participate is 5 years, and the maximum weight allowance is 164 kg (360 lbs). A waiver is required in order to participate. Closed-toe shoes, water shoes, and sun-protective clothing are recommended, and sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses are strongly advisable given extended time outdoors and multiple sandy, unshaded beach stops. As the tour is not wheelchair accessible, guests who use a wheelchair should be aware that participation is not possible under the terrain and mobility conditions described above.

  • Gordon's Beach, Long Island - Hamilton Caves and Dean’s Blue Hole

    Description

    Explore Long Island and experience two of its most impressive natural wonders – one dripping with stalactites, the other plunging 663 feet down into the world's second-deepest saltwater blue hole!

    Step aboard your air-conditioned bus at Gordon's Beach for an island exploration seeing its highlights: Gun Hill, the highest point in Clarence Town and the historic St. Peter and Paul church with stunning views of the harbor.

    Next, travel along the scenic Queen's Highway, to the world-famous Dean's Blue Hole. Surrounded by limestone bluffs and a splendid white-sand beach, this setting is idyllic for relaxing along the unspoiled Caribbean shore. But the real attraction here is to wade, or swim out, through the shallows to where the sandy seafloor suddenly disappears – suddenly dropping 663 feet into the world's second-deepest saltwater blue hole. Or dare to be brave and adventurous by climbing up the rocky pathway and plunge into the blue depths below.

    Afterwards, you will return to your bus for a short drive to Hamilton's Cave. Your expert guide leads you to survey the labyrinthine of darkness in the Bahamas' largest cave system. Multiple chambers open to reveal impressive stalactites and stalagmites formed over centuries as well as many bats who (fortunately) mostly slumber during the daytime in the crevices of the caves.

    All too soon it is time to rejoin your bus for the 30-minute drive to the yacht waiting at Gordon's Beach.

    This Yachting Land Adventure includes walking for approximately 1 hour over uneven ground with limited light at the cave and driving over somewhat rough road to reach Dean's Blue Hole beach. Please wear flat, comfortable shoes suitable for the cave excursion, and dress in swimwear with cover-up for the beach visit. Be sure to bring along a hat, sunscreen, and your towel from the yacht. There is a restroom break on the tour. We recommend you bring US dollars to purchase any food or drink from the small local vendors. Please note the itinerary may be operated in reverse order.

  • San Salvador - Parasol Rouge Experience with Lobster Lunch

    Description

    Dive into the breathtaking natural beauty and vibrant marine life of San Salvador's stunning tidal lagoon. Your adventure begins with a short drive to Pigeon Creek & Snow Bay National Park on the southeast coast of San Salvador. Here, you will board a pontoon boat for a scenic journey through a coastal paradise.

    Relax and let the serene surroundings of Pigeon Creek wash over you. The lagoon's sparkling turquoise waters are fringed by mangrove forests and pristine white sands. As you glide through this tranquil haven, watch for starfish, turtles, rays, sharks, and colorful tropical fish. Birdwatchers may spot species like herons, egrets, cormorants, Bahama Woodstar hummingbirds, and Bananaquit songbirds.

    Your journey continues to the magnificent sandbank at Low Cay Sound, a dream-worthy oasis of powdery white sand surrounded by crystal-clear waters. This enchanting sandbar is perfect for swimming and snorkeling, offering a vibrant underwater world to explore or a serene escape to simply unwind and soak in the beauty.

    Guests must be in good physical condition to participate, and the minimum age for this tour is 5 years; a waiver is required to take part. The tour involves a short walk to the pontoon boarding dock. This excursion is not accessible for guests with limited mobility, and mobility devices cannot be accommodated. Snorkeling equipment is included. Wildlife sightings, while common, cannot be guaranteed. Guests must be 18 or older to be served alcohol.   • San Salvador - Snorkeling San Salvador's Coral Gardens

    Description

    Set out from the pier aboard a catamaran bound for two of San Salvador's finest reef sites, where the water is celebrated for a clarity found in few places in the Caribbean. A certified snorkel instructor accompanies you into the shallows, where coral gardens open below in amber, violet and gold. Soft corals and sea fans sway with the current, orange and red starfish rest on floors of white sand, and sponges and reef fish crowd the formations rising from the seabed below you.

    At the second site, tidal currents have carved the rock into archways and sheltered channels alive with juvenile fish. Parrotfish graze along the coral heads while blue tangs, angelfish, trumpetfish and sergeant majors drift past in open water. No previous experience or diving certification is required, and all equipment is provided. Afterward, return to the catamaran for the crossing back to the marina, stepping ashore at the pier two hours after setting out, with San Salvador's underwater world still vivid in mind.

  • Staniel Cay, Exumas - Bahamas Famous Swimming Pigs

    Description

    Meet the famous Bahamas Swimming Pigs at Pig Beach on Pig Island during this exciting Yachting Land Adventure. Visit Pigs Beach where you will see that pigs cannot fly but they sure can swim!

    In the middle of paradise, with billionaires and celebrities for neighbors, is an island populated only by swimming pigs. For decades, this archipelago of 365 islands would remain largely unknown to the world. It would not be a ruthless pirate, pioneering loyalists, a notorious drug kingpin, or the infamous Fyre Festival that would unveil Exuma to the world, but rather the most unlikely of creatures. Appearing in magazines, videos, newspapers, commercials, TV shows, and countless selfies, are the Swimming Pigs of Staniel Cay Exuma, in the Bahamas. They have become a bucket-list sensation and have been named one of the marvels of the universe. After your pig encounter you will be transferred back to the yacht with lots of photos, selfies, and memories to share with your fellow SeaDreamers and family onboard.

    Notes

    Towels, ice cold water and soft drinks, snacks for humans and the pigs are provided. Professionally maintained snorkeling gear is also available. This trip is not suitable for expectant mothers, infants, or people with back, knee or neck problems, heart problems or conditions affected by high-speed travel. All participants should be physically fit and know how to swim. Participants must also be able to understand basic English and be able to respond to emergency commands in the unlikely event they are required during an excursion. Every participant must sign a liability waiver before joining the tour.

    Late afternoon departures may find some pigs lounging on the beach because of their full bellies from earlier feedings.
