Destination Spotlight: St. Kitts & Nevis

The two-island nation of St. Kitts & Nevis has been a staple in SeaDream voyages and with good reason. With breathtaking sceneries, a rich history and plenty of opportunities for activities for both laidback travelers and for the more adventurous types, St. Kitts & Nevis is the perfect West Indies destination.

Famous for being the smallest sovereign state in the Western Hemisphere, St. Kitts & Nevis offer visitors a glimpse of paradise. Discover some of its most beautiful sceneries and beaches with SeaDream. Twin mega-yachts, SeaDream I and SeaDream II, regularly visit the following:

Basseterre

St. Kitt’s dashing capital, Basseterre is not just another ordinary island. With its intimate downtown center filled with duty-free shops, souvenir booths, and local dining, you’ll never run of activities to explore. If you’re more into historical experiences, visit the National Museum, and take a walk near the Circus, a peculiar roundabout secured by a Victorian-inspired clock tower.

Charlestown

Less commercial and laid-back than its large neighbor St. Kitts, Nevis, at first glimpse, offers a stunning approach with dramatic views of the potentially active volcanic Nevis Peak. Start your day by exploring the island, above or under water, on one of our fun optional Yachting Land Adventures. They are all enjoyable and exciting, and you will also support the local community. At night, enjoy a romantic sunset with cocktails and a snack or dinner. We like to take the short drive to see Gillian, the owner of the charming Bananas Restaurant, which offers lovely views surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Of course, there is also Sunshine's Beach Bar & Grill, home of the famous "Killer Bee" Caribbean rum drink. We hope that the above recommendations allow you to plan your special day on Nevis.

South Friar’s Bay

South Friar's Bay offers SeaDream guests a new way to explore the island of St. Kitts. Rather than docking at the capital, the yacht will be anchored in the bay. This particular bay is one of the two bays stretching along the coast of the isthmus connecting the Southeast Peninsula with the rest of the island of St. Kitts. From swimming and snorkeling on the south side to body surfing on the north, Friar's Bay offers guests several options. Many locals consider the southern beach the best on the island where you can also find multiple beach bars, offering various food and beverage options.

The island itself offers several options for Yachting Land Adventures, including paddle boarding and zip-lining. Another popular activity is the Soul of St. Kitts tour, which offers the must-see highlights of St. Kitts. You’ll enjoy stunning vistas after you walk to the top of the Brimstone Hill Fortress. People call this UNESCO World Heritage Site the Gibraltar of the West Indies. This tour is perfect for anyone who wants to learn more about the island's complex history with stops in all the major sites.
