It’s Yachting, Not Cruising ® | Enjoy the Difference
SeaDream Yacht Club is a family-owned company. Our Founder, Owner, and Chairman, Atle Brynestad, founded Seabourn Cruise Line in 1987 and later served as Chairman of Cunard Line Ltd. and as a board member of Carnival Corporation. When he envisioned SeaDream, he brought an uncompromising standard for what the luxury yachting experience could truly be.
The Vision
In 2001, Brynestad founded SeaDream Yacht Club with our twin mega-yachts, SeaDream I and SeaDream II, around a simple but radical premise: that the finest way to travel by sea was not on a large cruise ship, but aboard a boutique cruise line designed around the freedom and intimacy of a private yacht.
“It’s Yachting, Not Cruising” was never just a tagline. It was a philosophy. Our crew knows you by name. Our itineraries seek out hidden ports where larger ships cannot reach. Every day aboard feels like a deeply personalized experience, shaped around you.
A Legacy of Excellence
In 2003, both yachts earned Berlitz’s coveted 5-star rating, a distinction we have proudly maintained ever since. Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure have recognized us year after year, a reflection of the yachting lifestyle guests discover the moment they step aboard. Along the way we introduced the first plant-based menu at sea, the industry’s only deck-to-sea water slide, and ultra-high-speed Starlink internet across our entire fleet. In 2024, both yachts completed keel-to-mast renovations, a renewed commitment to the intimate yachting voyage our guests have always known.
SeaDream Today
Today, guests aboard SeaDream I and SeaDream II enjoy an all-inclusive yacht vacation that includes everything from the Michelin-inspired cuisine on deck to watersports, wellness activities, and the intimate port itineraries that are unique and special to small-ship experiences. From May through October our twin yachts sail the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, and Northern Europe. From November through April, they trace the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. In 2026, we proudly celebrate 25 years of yachting excellence, and the journey is far from over.

I hate Commercial Cruises. So I reluctantly signed up for a SeaDream, and after a week on the boat, I could not think of one thing that was not done to perfection. The food was great, the staff was spectacular, and having only 50 couples made this a private yacht cruise.
