As part of our dedication to the perfect yachting journey, we would like to introduce you to the people who make us #1 for our award-winning service on the seas. This week we are pleased to introduce you to Jovanna, our Concierge on board SeaDream II. Jovanna joined the SeaDream team in 2016, and her magnetic personality quickly became a guest favorite. In 2021, her contagious smile made its way to the Concierge Desk, where Jovanna takes pride in assisting guests with any task, large or small. In her free time, she enjoys learning languages (currently French) and painting, sculpting, traveling, and reading. When not sailing with SeaDream, she spends time with her family and pets, and is an active member of an animal rescue organization. We are proud to call Jovanna a valued part of our SeaDream family.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Caribbean—and why?
A: The Caribbean is one of the destinations I return to the most. With so many beautiful islands to choose from, you can make many return trips and have a different experience every single time. Aside from the gorgeous beaches, what I love about the Caribbean is its culture, food, and friendly locals. Having traveled to this part of the world many times, I often get asked what my favorite Caribbean island is and it is so h
ard to pick one when they are all so unique and beautiful in their own way.
However, if I had to pick, one of the frontrunners is St. Barths, nestled in the French West Indies. St. Barths is where I recall a taste of the Mediterranean, which reminds me of being close to home, but at the same time provides an amazing feeling of relaxation at a secluded beach. I love to spend my day wandering through the winding, small streets of Gustavia, gazing at the city marina and enjoying a bite in one of the island’s open-air cafés.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Mediterranean—and why?
A: Spain, Spain, Spain! Oh, I love Spain! The climate and the culture, architecture and history, it is such a beautiful country. Specifically, Valencia is a place I never tire of visiting. Valencia's Old Town is unbelievably charming and energetic. The city itself has a rich heritage and history, countless cafés and bistros, and centuries-old architecture that tells a story around every corner.
Q: What does “It’s Yachting, Not Cruising®” mean to you?
A: Attention to detail and providing the best service possible to our guests, so that they may be enriched and uplifted. My goal is to provide extraordinary service and personalized attention, and, of course, the most memorable vacation that each and every guest deserves.
Q: What is it that you love most about SeaDream?
A: Being a part of SeaDream family is one of the most delightful experiences I have had the privilege of engaging in. I have had the opportunity to visit so many beautiful destinations, meet many different cultures, and simply enjoy the company of our SeaDream family, both fellow crew members and guests.
