This week we are pleased to introduce you to Tomislav, or Tomi, as he is known to both guests and fellow crew, our Sommelier on board SeaDream I. For those of you who have met Tomi, you know he is passionate about his job and is always on hand with a friendly smile and fantastic wine recommendation. Tomi joined SeaDream in 2020 as a bartender, and then quickly advanced to Chief Bartender. After excelling at multiple exams and various wine courses, he is now proud to be our Sommelier on board. When Tomi is not busy finding you the perfect wine, he loves being at home with his wife and newborn son, Peta. During his free time, he enjoys exploring under the sea and is a certified diver. Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Caribbean—and why?
A: I really love Mayreau in the Southern Grenadines. The location has a tiny population of just 300 people and one of the most amazing, unspoiled beaches I have ever seen in my life.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Mediterranean—and why?
A: May I say Croatia because I’m from there? Apart from Croatia, I always enjoy sailing the Greek Islands. The people, the food and the friendliness of the locals are amazing. There is also so much history there and really beautiful areas to explore.
Q: Where does “It’s Yachting, Not Cruising®” mean to you?
A: Getting to know our guests and making them feel like one of the family through personalized service in an intimate environment.
Q: What is it that you love most about SeaDream?
A: The family culture onboard, both between the crew and with the guests. It’s like nowhere I have ever worked before.
