Ports

  • Bridgetown, Barbados
    Bridgetown, Barbados

SeaDream uses the port of Bridgetown as the hub for their Southern Caribbean voyages as well as some voyages that cross the Atlantic. The Island itself includes UNESCO Heritage Sites, excellent beaches and history dating back to 1628. The climate is tropical with constant warm temperatures during the year cooled by light trade winds.

  • Charlotteville
    Charlotteville

Charlotteville is a small, quiet village on the northeastern tip of Tobago at Man-o-war Bay. It is a tiny fishing village surrounded by hilly rainforest that opens up to the Caribbean Sea. There are plenty of hiking trails that lead around the bay and up to the hills. For the energetic guest, try the hike to Hermitage or Campbelton Beach. One of the highlights of the area is the Buccoo Reef National Park. This reef has an incredible ecosystem that just should not be missed.

  • Buccoo Reef (Scarborough)
    Buccoo Reef (Scarborough)

The Buccoo Reef is one of the most accessible coral reefs in the Caribbean. It is a protected marine park located a short distance from Pigeon Point and Store Bay beaches. The reef has a fascinating, colorful underwater life. World famous French oceanographer and explorer Jacques Cousteau visited Tobago's Buccoo Reef and rated it as the third most spectacular reef in the world. The Buccoo Reef system is approximately 7 km2 (30 mls.2) in area and consists of an arc of five reef flats that enclose a shallow reef lagoon and the Bon Accord Lagoon. There is patchy distribution mainly staghorn and star coral communities within the reef lagoon. The Bon Accord Lagoon consists primarily of macroalgae and seagrass communities. The mangrove wetland fringing the lagoon is mostly red mangrove. Seaward of the reef flats, the fore-reef slopes to depths of 15-30 m. Brain coral, star coral, and elk horn coral are the dominant coral species on the fore-reef. SeaDream has organized an amazing land adventure for guests to experience this impressive sight. You are also given snorkel gear and allowed to swim briefly in some parts of the reef and the adjacent Nylon Pool. The Nylon Pool - so named by Princess Margaret on her visit there in 1962, is a shallow white sand area just behind the Buccoo Reef. Scarborough, Tobago is the largest town in Tobago, one of the two main islands of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Its population is around 17,000, almost one-third of the population of the island. The town is dominated by Fort King George, an 18th-century fortification named after King George III which now hosts a historical/archaeologic museum. Scarborough's deepwater harbor was built in 1991; before that ships were forced to anchor offshore. Scarborough became the capital of Tobago in 1769 when it replaced the then-capital of Georgetown. Under French rule, it was named Port Louis.

  • Mayreau
    Mayreau

Accessible only by yacht and small sailboats, Mayreau is the smallest public island of the Grenadines, with an area of about .46 square miles and a population of less than 300, centered in an unnamed village on a hilltop in the southwest of the island—its highest point and a nice hike from Saline Beach, where SeaDream anchors. Surrounded by magnificent coral reefs and gorgeous beaches, Mayreau and its surrounding Tobago Cays waters sit in a nationally protected area that has experienced a resurgence of marine life, including turtles that swim and feed while you mingle with and observe them. Take in the flora and fauna and don’t miss some of the best snorkeling in the world. Perhaps the ideal spot to anchor, Saline Bay provides easy access to Saline Bay Beach and Salt Whistle Bay Beach, a rare double-sided beach.

  • Îles des Saintes
    Îles des Saintes

The SeaDream anchorage off the island of Terre-de-Haut (part of the Iles des Saintes group of Islands) is one of the most picturesque in the entire Caribbean. Your SeaDream yacht will anchor in the bay off Bourg des Saintes, the main village on the island. Just beyond the sister island of Ilet a Cabrit to the north, you can see the main island of Guadeloupe and volcanic La Soufriere mountain with a height of about 1,466 meters/4,810 feet. A short ride onboard your SeaDream tender will take you right into the center of this charming village with its shops, restaurants and cafes. We highly recommend a stroll along the picturesque streets and colorfully painted houses, soaking in the relaxed blend of the island's French, Mediterranean & Caribbean atmosphere. If you feel energetic, we suggest that you hike up to Fort Napoleon, which has been converted into a museum, for some stunning hilltop views. You can't miss it; just turn left as you come off the pier and proceed about one mile, uphill. The museum is generally open from 0900-1230 hours and charges a small entrance fee so bring your Euros. And watch your step- the grounds around the fort are also home to a unique cactus garden and iguanas. Feeling even more energetic? Take out one of our SeaDream mountain bikes! Are you looking for some sun, sand, beach and palm trees? Our onboard Club Director knows a great beach just a short 20-25 minute, mostly flat, stroll from town. Along the walk, keep your eyes on the trees as we often spot some of the islands iguanas. Grab your sunscreen, a bottle of water and a towel from the yacht, underdress in your bathing suit and "hit the road" for some sunny hours at the beach. Casual, fun and free! During your visit to the island, we will also open up the SeaDream marina for swimming and water sports activities from the yacht. Check your daily program for the hours.

  • Gustavia
    Gustavia

Perhaps our most treasured destination in the Caribbean! This small island belonging to the French West Indies has so much to offer our SeaDream guests. Incredible shopping only steps away from the pier. Incredible beaches, resorts, restaurants and activities both day and night. SeaDream has created various land adventures for you to discover the island from sea or land. Ask one of the officers to take you on a hike or bike ride around the island. Another great activity here is to simply relax and watch all of the incredible yachts arriving and departing just off your SeaDream yacht.

  • Sandy Ground
    Sandy Ground

This British Overseas Territory is becoming more popular due to the incredible resort options as well as world recognized beaches and amazing golf. SeaDream offers an opportunity to tee off, snorkel, or, for the energetic, bike around the island with the Club Director. Naturally, we will also offer water sports while we are anchored off Sandy Ground.

  • Philipsburg
    Philipsburg

Philipsburg is the main town on the Dutch side of St. Maarten. The town is situated on a narrow stretch of land between Great Bay and the Great Salt Pond. Philipsburg was founded in 1763 by John Philips, a Scottish captain in the Dutch navy. The settlement soon became a center for international trade. The main shopping district is located on Front Street and is in the heart of the city. Many consider Philipsburg to be the best shopping opportunity in the Caribbean. Depending on the traffic, SeaDream has the option to anchor or dock alongside. One of the highlight activities may be to participate in the America’s Cup 12 Metre Regatta.
