Falling In Love with Paxoi, Captivating Landscapes & Villages

Today's adventure allows you to see more of this lovely island beyond the port town. Come and join us to see why this island is so popular with its upscale repeat visitors. You and your fellow guests start out from the small fishing harbor of Gaios, the capital of the small island of Paxoi. As you pass through the tiny traditional town, drive along the eastern coastal road for about 30-minutes, passing several villages and scenic photo opportunities, before arriving to Lakka. Located on the northern tip of the island, this small traditional coastal village consisting of old Venetian built houses situated around a picturesque little harbor that is popular with many yachts. At Lakka, there will be time for a walk around the village before continuing your drive until you get to Magazia. During a relaxing stop visit the old traditional olive press for an insight into the old methods of olive oil production. This stop would not be complete unless you tried some of the delicious village wine, fresh bread, olive oil and sweet paprika. Following this visit, return back to Gaios. Once back, you will take a stroll on the cobbled-stoned little streets around the small Venetian-built town and stop for a visit at the old church of Agia Triada. Do not miss the impressive Byzantine icons as well as at the small Folklore Museum, whose exhibits depict life at the small island in the 18th century. At the conclusion of this pleasant half day, you may select to return to your yacht or, we suggest that you remain in town for some independent explorations, or maybe to enjoy a coffee or a drink at one of the local seafront cafes.
