The Nalon Rriver is the longest and mightiest river in Asturias and a symbol of the region. Born in the Cantabrian Mountain Range, this river travels more than 86 miles, then flows into the Cantabrian Sea. Along the route, it crosses very diverse landscapes. After leaving the mountainous landscape, this river runs through an important mining basin of the central area and toward fertile plains becoming an estuary at its mouth.
There are crystal clear areas of the river that are perfect for kayaking. Experience a sport that has been growing in this region since the beginning of the 20th century. An approximate 30-minute drive from the pier brings you to the location where you will get geared up and receive an orientation of what to expect on the Nalon River. Accompanied by a qualified river guide; you will travel approximately 3.8 miles down the waters of the Nalon River. Along the way, the water flows with very calm sections so you can enjoy the landscapes, then other sections will be faster with rapids splashing and making for a thrilling and entertaining descent. The Nalon River is a destination for all families and friends who love kayaking with nature surrounding them.
Notes: This tour is not suggested for Guests with reduced mobility and is not accessible to wheelchairs. Children must be accompanied by an adult and a minimum height of 4 feet tall. Pregnant women should not participate, and this tour may be affected by weather conditions. A wetsuit and neoprene boots will be provided. A minimum participation is required to operate all Yachting Land Adventures and some have limited capacity.
