Venetian Islands - Murano, Burano and Torcello

Discover the Venetian Islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello which have preserved the most authentic traditions of Venice. Travel by motor launch, passing the canals and St. Mark’s Basin to the first stop at the island of Murano, known throughout the world for its ancient tradition of glass making. The stop will last approximately 50 minutes and include a visit to an important glass factory. See a master glassmaker preparing his masterpiece with a demonstration of the art of glass blowing. Next proceed on to the Venice island of Burano, the bustling island famous for its colourful houses and the hand-crafted lace work. There are true works of art made of lace that can be purchased at the local shops or street stalls. During the stop of approximately 30 minutes, you can see the lace making workshop while exploring on your own. Torcello, the largest centre in the Venetian Lagoon before the birth of the Republic of Venice, will be the last stop of this enchanting Venice boat tour. This mystical island combines intense spirituality with many examples of great historical and artistic importance, such as the church of Santa Fosca, the legendary Devil's Bridge and Attila's throne. During the stop of approximately 45 minutes, admire the remains of its former glory walking through the untouched nature that characterizes the island.

Notes: A minimum participation is required to operate all Yachting Land Adventures and some have limited capacity. All adventures in the SeaDream Yachting Land Adventures program are subject to change. Final departures times will be published onboard. It will be required to have shoulders and knees covered when visiting the Torcello Cathedral.
