Depart Ashdod for a 2-hour trip to Masada. Ascend the mountain by cable car and explore the impressive and inspiring ruins of Masada. Uncover the events of centuries past atop Masada's tabletop mountain and marvel at the beautiful desert views. Climb up the Masada Mountain by cable car and explore the impressive and inspiring ruins of Masada. Herod the Great chose to build a palace and fortress atop the curiously shaped mountain over 2000 years ago. Later, it served as the tragic last stand of the Jewish Zealots against the Roman armies.
Next you will travel to a leading Dead Sea resort for lunch and a unique experience to stay afloat in the Dead Sea, one of the saltiest bodies of water in the world. Cradled in the lowest place on Earth, the Dead Sea is so called because the mineral-rich waters are too salty for any fish to survive. Reflect on the impressions made of Masada and the Dead Sea during the 2-hour return to the yacht in Ashdod.
Notes: Tour includes entrance to the: pools, changing facilities, showers, and bathrooms. Lockers will be provided at the resort (one for two guests) and please do not bring any jewelry with you. Jewelry should not be worn in the Dead Sea. It is recommended to wear flip flops to enter the Dead Sea. Guests should indicate any food allergies or sensitivities a minimum of 3 days before departure.
