Do you accommodate guests with Special Needs?

The construction of the vessels SeaDream I & II was commenced in 1984 prior to the adoption of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Originally designed to be intimate, private yachts, SeaDream Yacht Club has endeavored to the extent feasible to make the vessels more accessible. There is currently one stateroom on board both SeaDream I and SeaDream II (Stateroom 215) that can accommodate wheelchair access. Stateroom 215 is roughly 250 square feet in size and can accommodate two (2) persons only. The Stateroom door is 31” wide and there is no sill. The bathroom door is also 31” with no sill and has a tub shower combination with transfer seat and grab-bars. The sink is 34” high and the toilet is 17” high with grab bars. The bathroom is fitted with an emergency call button, which calls the Bridge. When bringing your own mobility device, we strongly recommend a collapsible three (3) wheel, wheelchair. The yachts have one wheelchair on board for emergency use only and must remain on board at all times. The water sports marina, outdoor Deck 4 aft, the entire Deck 6, including the Balinese sunbeds, Top of the Yacht Bar and Golf Simulator are inaccessible to mobility-impaired devices. There are no wheelchair-accessible public restrooms on board. Certain vessel operations, such as the gangway, tenders, lifeboats and water sports marina are not fully accessible to mobility-impaired devices. In these situations, mobility assistance will involve carrying guests. With the exception of ports where voyages begin and end, the yachts primarily utilize tenders to embark and disembark guests going ashore. Situations may occur in which mobility impaired guests may not be able to go ashore at the time they desire or are unable to go ashore at all in certain ports. For the safety and comfort of all concerned, the Master shall be the final arbiter in determining the carrying of mobility impaired guests and their mobility impaired device, taking into account all appropriate matters including but not limited to weather and tidal conditions, ship’s location, weight of guest, etc. The Master will try to the extent feasible, to reasonably accommodate the guest’s needs. Each yacht maintains a portable TTY and alert kit for guests with hearing impairments, which can be fitted to any stateroom. These kits include visual notification of the doorknocker and smoke alarm and there is a vibrating alarm and phone amplifier. If traveling with a service animal, please be aware that SeaDream requires advance notice. Regulations may vary from port to port and it shall be the guests’ sole responsibility for obtaining all necessary certifications, documentation, quarantine information, etc. SeaDream does not provide pet food. Any physical disability or request for special treatment or attention must be reported to SeaDream when a reservation is placed. SeaDream reserves the right to refuse passage to any guest if it deems such mental or physical condition causes them to be unfit for travel or who, in SeaDream’s judgment may endanger the safety and comfort of other guests. It is strongly recommended that guests with disabilities should be able to care for their own basic needs and should travel with another guest who can provide assistance during the voyage.

What if I have a Dietary Request?

Please advise us at the time of booking with regard to any special dietary requests, allergies, or restrictions. We are generally able to cater to most dietary requests, however, certain requests where specialty items need to be obtained, not normally stored on board, may incur additional costs.

Do you accept Pregnant Guests?

Pregnant Guests who have entered their 24th week of pregnancy prior to the commencement or during the voyage will not be permitted to embark.

Do you accept Children?

No child under the age of one (1) year at the time of sailing will be accepted as a Guest. Any Guest under the age of eighteen (18) years at the time of sailing must be accompanied by an adult Guest over the age of eighteen. If the adult is not a parent, Parental/Guardianship Consent must be signed by the minor’s parent or legal guardian and delivered to the Carrier eight weeks before sailing. You agree to fully supervise any and all persons under the age of eighteen (18) accompanying you during your cruise. You also agree to indemnify Carrier for any and all damage caused by such persons, or for any injury, illness or death to such persons to which lack of adequate and proper adult supervision contributed in whole or part.

Should I purchase Trip Insurance?

Yes, we always strongly recommend you to purchase travel insurance. Depending on where you reside, Trip Insurance may be available for purchase from a third-party vendor. US Residents can click here for coverage options. Please contact us us for additional information or contact your travel advisor.

May I book “Back to Back” voyages?

In many cases our voyage schedule allows for congruent voyages, or “Back to Back” sailings. Please contact us to discuss this possibility.

Once Booked

How do I place a Gift Order?

Gift orders may be placed by accessing the “Gift Order Form” from the Already Booked section of our website, or by contacting Reservations. Last-minute requests may incur a late fee.

How do I get to the yacht?

SeaDream does not directly arrange air or land transportation to and/or from the yacht, or reserve hotels for pre and/or post-voyage stays. We are happy to provide you with contact information for 3rd party land transfer operators upon request.

How much time do I need to get from the airport to the port?

This varies greatly from city to city, however, we recommend you choose flights with arrival times at least 3 hours prior to sailing (port departure) time.

When may I embark?

Embarkation generally begins at 2:00 PM. Due to the potential for limited facilities at the port, we may not be able to accept luggage ahead of embarkation time, and we recommend you not arrive earlier. Please note: Requests to embark once the voyage is underway requires special approval due to customs and immigration requirements. Please contact us to inquire.

What Travel Documents do I need?

Guests are responsible for obtaining all required official travel documents (Passports, Visas, Proof of Immunizations) prior to embarkation. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months past the voyage end date. Visas & Immunizations may be required for some itineraries. SeaDream does not provide visa services. Please contact your Travel Professional or a reputable visa service for assistance. Failure to provide the require documentation at embarkation will result in denied boarding with no refund of voyage fare or travel expenses.

Must I provide Guest Registration information?

Guests must provide certain information prior to ticket issuance. Please visit the Already Booked section of our website to complete this process online. Completed registration is a prerequisite to the issuance of voyage tickets.

When sailing on “your private yacht” the Captain will make decisions throughout the voyage to make it as comfortable and pleasant as possible. If the weather is nice we will keep the marine open a few hours longer instead of rushing to the next port. If the scenery is picturesque we will dine outside and enjoy the view.
