This Privacy Policy explains how SeaDream Yacht Club (“SeaDream,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects Personal Information in connection with:
• our websites and online services that link to this Privacy Policy, including https://seadream.com (collectively, the “Sites”);
• bookings, guest services, and voyage-related communications (whether initiated online or offline);
• communications and business interactions with travel partners, vendors/suppliers, media/PR contacts, and other business contacts; and
• recruiting and job applicant activities.
Depending on your interaction with SeaDream, we may provide additional or supplemental privacy notices (for example, during booking, guest registration, or employment onboarding) where required or appropriate.
1) WHO WE ARE AND HOW TO CONTACT US
SeaDream Yacht Club is the business name used to operate and market SeaDream’s services. SeaDream determines the purposes and means of processing described in this Privacy Policy.

If you contact us to exercise privacy rights (Section 11), please include “Privacy Request – [Topic]” in the subject line (examples: “Privacy Request – Access,” “Privacy Request – Delete,” “Privacy Request – Opt Out of Targeted Advertising”).
2) DEFINITIONS
“Personal Information” (also known as “Personal Data” in some jurisdictions) means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked (directly or indirectly) to an individual.
“Sensitive Personal Information” (or similar terms) may include: passport or other government identification numbers; account login credentials; precise geolocation (if collected); and health-related information (such as allergies), as well as other categories designated as “sensitive” under applicable law.
“Processing” means any operation performed on Personal Information (e.g., collection, use, storage, disclosure).

We collect Personal Information from (A) information you provide, (B) information collected automatically, and (C) information from other sources.
A. Information you provide to us
The Personal Information you provide depends on your relationship with SeaDream and the services you use. Examples include:
Guests and prospective guests
• Contact details: name, email, phone number, mailing address, country of residence.
• Inquiry information: message content and any information you provide when requesting brochures, quotes, or other information.
• Booking/reservation and guest profile details: information necessary to create and manage a reservation and provide guest services.
• Travel document details (as required for international travel and compliance): passport number, passport issuing country, country of birth, citizenship, passport issue date and other related details you provide.
• Emergency contact information: emergency contact name, relationship, and contact details.
• Preferences and accommodations: information you provide about preferences relevant to your experience.
• Health and dietary information you choose to provide: allergies (e.g., drug, food, environmental) and dietary preferences/restrictions (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, low salt), and similar information for onboard safety and service.
Travel partners, vendors, and other business contacts (including media/PR)
• Business contact details: name, company/agency, title/role, business email, business phone, office address, and communications with us.
• Relationship details: information relevant to servicing inquiries, supporting bookings, or managing vendor/business relationships.
Job applicants
• Application and recruiting information: contact details, resume/CV, employment history, education, references (where provided), work eligibility information (where applicable), and communications during recruiting.
We may also collect additional information you voluntarily provide as part of the application process. If required by law, additional notices may apply.
Payment information
If you make a payment, payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”). SeaDream does not store full credit card numbers on our systems. Stripe may collect and process payment information in accordance with Stripe’s own privacy practices and security standards.
B. Information we collect automatically when you use the Sites
When you visit the Sites, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
• Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, links clicked, referring/exit pages, and date/time of access.
• Cookies and similar technologies: information collected through cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, or similar technologies (see Section 7).
C. Information we receive from other sources
We may receive Personal Information from:
• Travel advisors/agencies you work with or identify, in connection with inquiries and bookings.
• Vendors and business partners involved in services you request (for example, shore-side services, transfers, or other travel-related services), where applicable.
• Publicly available sources and social media platforms, where permitted by law, such as when you interact with our official pages or content.
Important note about third-party information:
If you provide us information about another person (for example, an emergency contact), you represent that you have authority to do so and to allow us to use the information as described in this Privacy Policy.
4) HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use Personal Information for the following purposes:
A. Provide, operate, and administer services
• Respond to inquiries, send brochures and requested materials, and provide customer support.
• Create, process, and manage reservations and guest registration.
• Provide voyages and related guest services, including accommodating preferences and reasonable requests.
• Communicate with you about your booking, travel arrangements, and operational updates.
B. Process payments
• Facilitate payments through Stripe and manage billing-related communications and records.
C. Marketing and promotional communications (where permitted)
• Send marketing communications about SeaDream offers, voyages, and news, where permitted by law.
• Measure engagement with our communications and improve marketing performance.
D. Improve and protect the Sites and our operations
• Maintain, monitor, and improve the Sites’ performance, functionality, and security.
• Understand how visitors use our Sites (e.g., via analytics) and improve user experience.
• Detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
E. Business operations and relationship management
• Manage vendor relationships, travel partner relationships, and other business engagements.
• Manage recruiting and hiring processes (where applicable).
F. Legal and compliance
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations (including travel, immigration, customs, public health, maritime-related requirements, and financial/accounting obligations).
• Respond to lawful requests from regulators, law enforcement, or other authorities.
• Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, and enforce our agreements and policies.
5) LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING (EEA/UK AND SIMILAR JURISDICTIONS)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”), the United Kingdom (“UK”), or another jurisdiction requiring a legal basis, we process Personal Information only where we have a valid legal basis, including:
• Contract: to perform a contract with you or take steps you request before entering into a contract (e.g., processing bookings and delivering travel services).
• Legal obligation: to comply with legal obligations.
• Legitimate interests: to operate and improve our business, Sites, and services; to maintain security; prevent fraud; and manage relationships—provided our interests are not overridden by your rights.
• Consent: where required (e.g., certain non-essential cookies, and certain marketing in some jurisdictions). You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Vital interests: in limited cases, to protect your vital interests or those of another person (e.g., health and safety emergencies).
Special category/sensitive data (EEA/UK):
If you provide health-related information (e.g., allergies) or other special category data, we process it only as permitted by applicable law (for example, where necessary for health and safety and/or with your explicit consent, as required).
6) SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may process Sensitive Personal Information such as:
• passport and travel document details (to support international travel and legal compliance);
• allergy/dietary information you choose to provide (to support your safety and onboard services); and
• account access credentials (if you access areas of our Sites that require login).
We use and disclose Sensitive Personal Information only as reasonably necessary to provide services, ensure safety, comply with law, and operate our business. We do not use Sensitive Personal Information to infer characteristics about you for marketing profiling purposes.
7) COOKIES, ANALYTICS, AND ADVERTISING TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies and similar technologies to support the Sites and to help us understand and improve performance. Where permitted and configured, these technologies may also support advertising measurement and targeted advertising.
A. Categories of cookies/technologies
• Essential: required for basic Site functionality and security.
• Analytics: help us understand how the Sites are used and improve them.

C. Your cookie choices
You can manage cookies through:
• our cookie banner/consent tool on the Sites (including the ability to withdraw consent for non-essential cookies); and/or
• your browser settings (which may allow you to block or delete cookies).
If you disable certain cookies, some Site features may not function properly.
D. Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals, and some jurisdictions recognize opt-out preference signals (such as the Global Privacy Control). Where required by applicable law, we will treat such signals as a valid request to opt out of applicable targeted advertising and/or “sale”/“sharing” as defined by law.

We disclose Personal Information only as described below and consistent with applicable law:
A. Service providers (“processors”)
We use trusted vendors to provide services on our behalf, such as:
• website hosting, IT, and security;
• customer support, CRM, and reservation-related systems;
• email delivery and marketing communications;
• analytics, measurement, and advertising support (subject to your cookie choices);
• payment processing (Stripe).
Service providers are authorized to use Personal Information only to perform services for us and must protect it under contractual and legal requirements.
B. Travel advisors/agencies and travel partners
If you identify a travel advisor/agency or work with one, we may share relevant information so they can assist you. We may also share information with travel partners involved in delivering services you request or that are included in travel arrangements, where applicable.
C. Legal, security, and safety
We may disclose information to:
• comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests;
• protect the rights, property, or safety of SeaDream, our guests, crew/employees, or others; and
• prevent or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
D. Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale/transfer of assets, Personal Information may be disclosed as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
“Sale” / “Sharing” (U.S. state privacy laws):
We do not sell Personal Information for monetary consideration. However, disclosure of certain information to advertising/analytics partners via cookies and similar technologies may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” (including for cross-context behavioral advertising) under certain laws. Where applicable, you can opt out through our cookie consent tool or by submitting a request (Section 11).
9) INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
SeaDream operates internationally, and your Personal Information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States and Norway, where we and our service providers operate.
Where required by law (including EEA/UK), we implement appropriate transfer safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses and other legally recognized mechanisms.

We retain Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
• provide the services you request and manage our relationship with you;

Non-discrimination:
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Appeals (certain U.S. states):

12) SECURITY
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or from the Sites.
13) CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The Sites are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child has provided Personal Information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
14) THIRD-PARTY SITES AND SERVICES
The Sites may contain links to third-party websites or services (including those of payment processors and social media platforms). This Privacy Policy does not apply to third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date when we do. If changes are material, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.
