Health & Safety Protocols

SeaDream Guest Safety Protocols

Are you ready for your return to the sea? We look forward to having you join us on the yachts in the coming months.

As we navigate these unique times during the pandemic, we continue to work diligently with medical experts and local authorities to establish procedures that will provide the best possible solutions for guest safety.

Please review the SeaDream protocols as well as the mandates that local entities compel us to follow.

We encourage you to consult with the appropriate authorities governing COVID-19 policy in your country and that of your destination before departing on your SeaDream journey.

ALL PROTOCOLS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE

Before Your Voyage

All SeaDream guests 18 years of age and older (12 and older for voyages in the Caribbean) are required to be fully vaccinated with all COVID-19 vaccine doses administered at least 14 days before sailing.

Guests under 18 (12 for the Caribbean) are not required to be vaccinated.

To maintain safety protocols, we will limit the number of unvaccinated guests under the minimum ages.

Please contact your travel professional, or call the reservations department to inquire of remaining availability for unvaccinated minors.

Embarkation

Guests will be administered a COVID-19 antigen test immediately before embarkation and again while on the voyage.

We will provide you with a comfortable place to await the results (approximately 30 minutes). Once we receive a negative test result, the crew will welcome you aboard to enjoy your SeaDream experience.

During the Voyage

All guests maintain proper social distancing during the voyage.

Masks will be required when social distancing is not possible.

Masks will not be required while swimming, relaxing on our decks, or actively eating and drinking.

In most ports, guests are allowed to go ashore independently. In some ports, guests will be required to engage in a “bubble” tour program, which involves going ashore in an organized, yacht-sponsored program.

Dining

We look forward to serving you our award-winning food while you are onboard.

We have designed the main dining room seating with proper distancing in mind and have opened up additional space on deck to provide safe dining options.

The buffets will be open, with crew members serving all guests.

Cleaning

The crew is employing the most stringent of cleaning procedures using advanced cleaning tools.

We will disinfect high-traffic areas continually throughout the day.

Our crew will disinfect tenders after each use.

We have ultraviolet lights and electrostatic misters deployed to ensure cleanliness and guest safety.

Travel Insurance

We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers COVID-related travel disruptions.

Please check with the countries on your itinerary to see if they require travel insurance to cover COVID-related costs.

Medication

We encourage all guests to pack an additional 14 days of any necessary medication if there is an unforeseen travel delay.

Crew

All SeaDream officers and crew are fully vaccinated.

The crew has also undergone extensive training on cleaning and protocol programs provided by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Disembarkation

If a guest requires a PCR test for re-entry into their home country, SeaDream can provide one at the cost of $110 per test.

Please note that SeaDream is not an accredited lab.

Region Information

GREECE

Please note that Greece requires all visitors to fill out an electronic Passenger Locator Form (PLF) prior to arrival in the country.

ITALY

The Italian Health Ministry has not provided updated protocols since their existing decree expired on July 30, 2021. Potentially, this means that all tours in Italy will be in the “bubble” format. No individual or independent tours are allowed.

We encourage you to check with your local government resources, airlines, and destination countries for the most current requirements for travel.

Please note that protocols continue to evolve, and we will revise these at the direction of the involved entities. However, our goal is to reduce the impact of these safety directives on our guests as soon as local government regulations allow us to do so in a safe manner.

If you would like further clarification on any of the above requirements, please contact our reservations team at +1 800-707-4911 or+47 410 40 122.

Policy Update Log

We will provide a log of these changes below as we revise our policies to conform with updated guidance from government entities and health experts.

October 15, 2021 – UPDATED: To conform with local regulations, we lowered the age of vaccination requirement from 18 and older to 12 and older for guests traveling to the Caribbean.

October 15, 2021 – REMOVED: Removed the protocols for Norway as we have concluded all voyages in that region.

August 18, 2021 – EXTENDED: The SeaDream with Confidence program is extended to include voyages sailing before April 30, 2022 (previously, December 15, 2021). The program applies to all sailings booked before October 31, 2021.

August 4, 2021 – ADDED: Information about the potential for “bubble” tours in Italy. The Italian Health Ministry has not provided additional guidance on their expired protocols. There is a chance that we will have to abide by their “bubble” tour protocols unless we are granted an exception or new protocols are issued.

July 26, 2021REPLACED: The sentence “All SeaDream officers and crew will be fully vaccinated by the time we resume operations” was changed to “All SeaDream officers and crew are fully vaccinated” since we are now operating both vessels.

June 22, 2021ADDED: Protocols for upcoming voyages to Norway.

June 18, 2021REMOVED: Prior to embarkation, you will need to provide proof of a negative RT-PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before departure.
