SeaDream Guest Safety Protocols

As we navigate these unique times during the pandemic, we continue to work diligently with medical experts and local authorities to establish procedures that will provide the best possible solutions for guest safety as we sail.

Please review the SeaDream protocols as well as the mandates that local entities compel us to follow.

We encourage you to consult with the appropriate authorities governing COVID-19 policy in your country and that of your destination before departing on your SeaDream journey.

Before Your Voyage

All SeaDream guests 18 years of age and older (12 and older for voyages in the Caribbean) are required to be fully vaccinated with all COVID-19 vaccine doses administered at least 14 days before sailing.

Guests under 18 (12 for the Caribbean) are not required to be vaccinated.

To maintain safety protocols, we will limit the number of unvaccinated guests under the minimum ages.

Please contact your travel professional, or call the reservations department to inquire of remaining availability for unvaccinated minors.

SeaDream strongly advises that all eligible guests receive their booster shot at least two weeks prior to traveling.

Effective January 7, 2022, all SeaDream guests will be required to provide a negative Rapid COVID-19 PCR result from a test taken within 1 day of embarkation OR a negative RT-PCR COVID-19 result from a test taken within 3 days of embarkation.

Guests will be administered a COVID-19 antigen test immediately before embarkation and again while on the voyage if required by local authorities.

We will provide you with a comfortable place to await the results (approximately 30 minutes). Once we receive a negative test result, the crew will welcome you aboard to enjoy your SeaDream experience.

During Your Voyage

All guests must maintain proper social distancing during the voyage.

Masks will be required when social distancing is not possible.

Masks will not be required while swimming, relaxing on our decks, or actively eating and drinking.

In most ports, guests are permitted to go ashore independently. In some ports, guests will be required to engage in a “bubble” tour program, which involves going ashore in an organized, yacht-sponsored program.

We look forward to serving you our award-winning cuisine while you are on board.

We have designed the main dining room seating with proper distancing in mind and have opened up additional space on deck to provide al fresco dining options.

The crew employs the most stringent of cleaning procedures using advanced cleaning tools.

We will disinfect high-traffic areas continually throughout the day.

Our crew will disinfect tenders after each use.

We use ultraviolet lights and electrostatic misters to ensure cleanliness and guest safety.

Travel Insurance

We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers COVID-related travel disruptions.

Please check with the countries on your itinerary to see if they require travel insurance to cover COVID-related costs.

We encourage all guests to pack an additional 14 days of necessary medication if there is an unforeseen travel delay.

All SeaDream officers and crew members are fully vaccinated.

In addition, all crew has also undergone extensive training on cleaning and protocol programs provided by the World Health Organization (WHO).

If a guest requires COVID tests for re-entry to their home country, SeaDream can, as needed, provide PCR tests for $110 per test and antigen tests for $35 per test.

Guided Tours

Most of the ports that we call on allow vaccinated guests 12 years and older, to disembark and explore on their own. However, some countries will require us to operate a guided program, sometimes referred to as a “bubble tour.” The requirements for bubble tours are that visitors remain in a guided and contained manner. The requirements for these tours are changing daily, so we will notify you before disembarkation if we are required to adhere to guided tour requirements. Rest assured that SeaDream will provide an alternate option for a walking tour or shoreside experience if we are unable to allow you to explore on your own. Currently, the following countries require a “bubble tour” format: Dominica, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Montserrat.

Without travel clearance from the portal, passengers may not be able to board an aircraft or vessel to the Territory.” Please visit for the most up-to-date information.

If a guest is not transiting directly from the airport to the yacht, they may be required to take a COVID test upon arrival and stay quarantined until the results are received. For more information, please visit their website here:

The Bahamas health authorities no longer require SeaDream guests to visit to take steps to acquire a Travel Health Visa prior to embarkation.

“Most travelers (for example, from United States, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Panama, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Puerto Rico, etc.) do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival to enter the Dominican Republic. Airports and other ports of entry will perform a quick, aleatory breath test to a percentage of passengers, and all those who present symptoms, upon arrival.”

We encourage you to check with your local government resources, airlines, and destination countries for the most current requirements for travel.

Please note that protocols continue to evolve, and we will revise these at the direction of the involved entities. However, our goal is to reduce the impact of these safety directives on our guests as soon as local government regulations allow us to do so in a safe manner.

If you would like further clarification on any of the above requirements, please contact our Reservations Team at +1 800-707-4911 or +47 410 40 122.
