Menorca Countryside and Cheese Tasting

Menorca Countryside and Cheese Tasting

Discover the island of Menorca, a small paradise in the Balearic Sea. Mahón is the easternmost port in Spain, and also the largest natural port in the world after Pearl Harbor.

Journey along the main road that links Mahón with Ciutadella (the old capital), stopping at the village of Fornells, situated at the mouth of a long bay. The town's natural beauty is underscored by the sober architecture of the white houses with green window shutters. There will be some free time for taking photos.

Next head to Monte Toro -- the highest mountain on the island -- to admire the magnificent view of the island and visit the small chapel dedicated to the Monte Toro Virgin. Continue to Sant Patrici, home to the best producers of Mahónés cheese, which delights people all over the world. Taste their products and buy some if you wish.

Traveling back to Mahon you will visit the Museum of Minorca dating from 1889. The actual building was a Franciscan Convent from the 15th century with a beautiful courtyard. The museum provides an overview of Minorca’s interesting history before returning back to the yacht at the pier.
