Gourdon & Sweet Confections (available Sun, 30 October 2022 only)

Discover one of the most authentic perched villages in the region of Cannes and delight in sweet confections on this Yachting Land Adventure.

Drive inland approximately 60 minutes from Cannes to Gourdon, one of France’s “most beautiful villages”. Clinging to the top of a 760-meter-high cliff, it offers an exceptional panorama over the greenly Loup Valley and the Mediterranean coast.

On the way to Gordon, you will make a stop at a local candy factory. This “Confiserie” offers delightful local sweets such as clementine’s in a liquor or rose petal jam. Learn about the traditional production of lavender candies and comfit oranges and taste some unusual rosemary ice cream.

Afterwards, continue a short drive, to Gourdon. Here you will find traditional medieval white stone houses that have been restored and converted into boutiques and workshops producing olive wood carvings, glassware, pottery, distilled lavender, and honey. In Gourdon, you will have free time to stroll on your own through its narrow streets. You may decide to visit the imposing feudal castle surrounded by gardens that were designed by Le Nôtre and the 12th century Romanesque church. After experience Gourdon on your own, you will meet at the coach for the turn to the yacht back in Cannes.
