Rather than highlighting only the names on a map, the icons reveal something more personal: how you might experience each place.
What the Icons Mean
Each icon is associated with ports where that experience can genuinely be enjoyed during a normal call day and within reach of the yacht’s berth. The designations are intended as a helpful guide as you explore SeaDream voyages, offering another way to find places that reflect your interests.
They do not represent a specific included activity or guarantee that a particular experience will be offered as a SeaDream Yachting Land Adventure. Instead, they signal that the port itself presents a meaningful opportunity to enjoy that style of day. Availability may vary by season, local operating schedules and time in port.
Some ports may carry one icon. Others may offer several, allowing the same destination to be experienced in entirely different ways.
Golf
The Golf icon identifies ports with a playable course close enough to reach from the berth, with tee times that can reasonably be booked during the call day.
For guests who enjoy time on the course, it offers a new lens through which to view a voyage. A day ashore might mean playing against a tropical backdrop, discovering a storied local club or simply making room for a favorite pastime somewhere unexpected.
Dining
The Dining icon points to places where the local food culture is worth making part of the day. That might be a market known for regional ingredients, a celebrated maker, a distinctive neighborhood or a table that captures the character of the destination.
It is not necessarily about formal dining. It is about places where what is grown, prepared and shared offers a genuine connection to the port.
Birdwatching
The Birdwatching icon appears where a reserve, wetland, coastal habitat or seabird colony is close enough to visit and return comfortably within the day.

Longevity & Spa
The Longevity & Spa icon highlights wellness traditions rooted in the destination itself. Think thermal waters, onsen bathing or a local spa ritual shaped by the culture and natural resources of the place.
This designation refers to experiences ashore rather than those aboard the yacht. In Japan, for example, a call may place guests within reach of the country’s longstanding onsen tradition. Elsewhere, the experience may center on mineral-rich waters or another wellness practice native to the region.
Wine
The Wine icon identifies a working wine or spirits region where guests can visit and taste during the call day.
It may lead to a vineyard, cellar, distillery or tasting room, but the common thread is a direct connection to what the region produces. In places such as Waiheke Island or the landscapes surrounding Dubrovnik, the tasting becomes a way to understand the land, climate and traditions behind what is poured.
Swimmable Beach
The Swimmable Beach icon signals something refreshingly straightforward: a clean, reachable stretch of sand where guests can genuinely swim without devoting the entire call day to getting there and back.
Not every coastal port offers an easy beach day. This icon helps distinguish the places where time by the water is a realistic part of the day, whether it becomes the main plan or an unhurried interlude between other discoveries.
Active & Trails
The Active & Trails icon marks ports that lend themselves to exploring under your own power, whether on foot, on two wheels or on the water.
It may indicate a hiking trail, a memorable climb, a cycling route or an opportunity to paddle. The setting and level of activity will vary, but each offers the chance to engage more physically with the landscape rather than simply observe it.
