Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Caribbean—and why?
A: As SeaDream’s gateway to the Caribbean, I really love Puerto Rico. Its Old Town, or Old San Juan, as it is called, features cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and an old-world charm that cannot be beat. The architecture of the city is really varied as well, with a history that dates back centuries since it was first founded as a Spanish outpost in the early 1500s. I spend a few hours just wandering around the town whenever I have the opportunity.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Mediterranean—and why?
A: I would have to say Santorini, Greece. This small island is nestled in the Aegean Sea and really delivers in terms of its natural beauty, Greek cuisine, cosmopolitan ambiance, and romantic sunsets. SeaDream yachts can approach the island and anchor just offshore, which makes Santorini easily accessible.
Q: What does “It’s Yachting, Not Cruising®” mean to you?
A: To me, it is all about the intimacy and size of our yachts. Small is better, in fact—small is best! Because of our size, I feel that all our crew can deliver a first-rate experience for our guests; one that is luxurious without being pretentious.
Q: What is it that you love most about SeaDream?
A: It’s the personal interaction that we have with our guests. We know them by name, and we know their preferences. As a waiter, this allows me to provide the best anticipatory service on the seas.
