About: Originally from the Philippines, Arla first joined SeaDream Yacht Club in 2004 as a Stewardess and grew to into the position of Assistant Concierge, a position she held for eight years. When she is not traveling, she enjoys spending time with her college-age daughter and her church community. Our valued member of the SeaDream family looks forward to many more years to come.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Caribbean—and why?
A: The tiny island of Jost van Dyke, in the British Virgin Islands. The beach is so relaxing, a “breather from life,” as I like to call it. This idyllic setting is home to our signature Champagne & Caviar Splash®. Plus, Foxy’s Bar is a must-try experience if you want to meet the locals and experience some barefoot-beach fun.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Mediterranean—and why?
A: Italy. The country itself is romantic, plus I love the food. Few know that Italy is all great for hiking, especially throughout the classic landscapes of Tuscany, Sicily, Puglia, and Cinque Terre. The views are exceptional. The beautiful coastline and hillside villages of the Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site, are not to be missed.
Q: What does “It’s Yachting, Not Cruising®” mean to you?
A: Yachting is about family and friends. When you start to meet all the crew and guests we have on board, it becomes an atmosphere like no other. The energy of interacting with our guests, whether for the first time or as returning Club Member, is indescribable. While we ensure that all our guests are taken care of with excellent service, our small size allows for dedicated, personalized interactions and great conversations that make the experience really special.
Q: What is it that you love most about SeaDream?
A: It’s the people, especially my fellow crew. I consider SeaDream my second home away from home and consider myself blessed to have such an incredible extended family. Their consistent support has meant the world to me. And our crew has in turn become a cherished and defining characteristic of the SeaDream experience.
