About: After Jonel completed his education in hospitality, he joined SeaDream in 2017 to live a life of top-rated service on the sea. While he is not yachting, he enjoys reading and fishing. Jonel hopes to be at sea for many years to come, as traveling is his passion.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel the Caribbean—and why?
Jonel: Hands down, St. Barths. This French-flavored Caribbean destination offers so much to see and do—whether exploring some of its secluded beaches, going a hike, or dining and shopping.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel the Mediterranean—and why?
Jonel: Any island in Greece, but particularly the small local islands that no one has heard of but are so special for many reasons. Places like Sifnos, Syros, Kythnos, Patmos, and Milos—truly off the beaten track and offering amazing history, culture, cuisine, and beaches.
Q: What are you most looking forward to as we sail Northern Europe and Scandinavia in our upcoming seasons?
Jonel: I am looking forward to sailing through the fjords as I serve our guests dining al fresco.
Q: From a special meal to a unique experience, what is your #1 travel memory while sailing with SeaDream?
Jonel: This is a travel memory that keeps repeating itself on every new voyage: Always getting to know the guests one on one. Some for the first time, and others a deeper level of connection.
