As part of our dedication to the perfect yachting journey, we would like to introduce you to the people who make us #1 for our award-winning service on the seas. This week we are pleased to introduce you to Luisto, one of our stellar waiters on board SeaDream II. Originally from the Philippines, Luisto joined SeaDream more than twenty years ago and has been with us ever since. Affectionately called “Papa Louie” by his onboard family and our valued past guests, this valued member of the SeaDream family looks forward to many more years to come.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Caribbean—and why?
A: St. Barths, especially for the beaches, and Jost van Dyke, also for the beaches and our signature Champagne & Caviar Splash—definitely one of the highlights for our guests.
Q: Where is your favorite place to travel in the Mediterranean—and why?
A: It’s too hard to choose just one! Almost all of the destinations in the Mediterranean, many of which I hadn’t seen before joining SeaDream. From the farmers’ markets and cathedrals to UNESCO sites and beyond, there is not one island or Old Town that I haven’t gained some culture or understanding from.
Q: What does “It’s Yachting, Not Cruising®” mean to you?
A: Relaxing and adventurous at the same time, it’s all about that perfect balance of allowing guests the freedom to create their own perfect day. And, as I’m sure you’ll hear time and again, it’s all about creating an experience that keeps guests coming back. We are not a big-ship cruise line, we are a boutique yachting experience that welcomes each and every guest like family—because, to us, they are.
Q: What is it that you love most about SeaDream?
A: The crew is like a family here, and there is no shortage of kindness and camaraderie.
