The waters around Labuan Bajo hold some of the richest reef life in Indonesia, with Komodo dragons roaming the islands deeper in the national park. Trek across Komodo Island's dry hills to find them in the wild, then cool off with a swim over coral gardens thick with manta rays and turtles. Padar's summit trail is worth the early start for the view alone, three bays of different colored sand spread out below. A day here moves from dragons to reef to a hilltop panorama, all within the same park.
