Not far from neighboring Ocho Rios, Port Antonio’s history dates back to the 1700’s when this city became a British stronghold against the invading Spanish. Today, visitors enjoy Frenchman’s Cove beach, an eco-resort which was formerly a coconut plantation, and the ruins of Folly Mansion as well as DeMontevin Lodge.
