Reggio Calabria, Italy

Reggio Calabria is located on the tip of the boot of the Italian Peninsula, separated from the island of Sicily by the Strait of Messina. Stroll its stretching seafront promenade lined with small squares that intermingle with archaeological excavations and take in the view of Sicily and imposing Mt. Etna in the distance. See its ancient artifacts at the archeological museum, home to the 2,500-year-old Greek statues known as the Riace Bonzes. Reggio Calabria is a celebrated yachting destination, the secluded beaches along the Ionian shoreline holding a charm.
