Gdańsk, Poland

A Hanseatic port rebuilt stone by stone after the Second World War, Gdansk's Long Market glows with the pastel merchant houses and amber shops that made this the trading capital of Baltic amber for eight hundred years. The Solidarity movement that helped bring down the Iron Curtain was born at the shipyard gates here, told in full at the excellent European Solidarity Center nearby. Golf courses and wide sand beaches line the coast just outside the city, and the Vistula delta's wetlands shelter vast numbers of migratory birds each spring and autumn. A city with amber in its shopfronts and history in its shipyards.

You have delivered us a honeymoon beyond our wildest dreams. Thank you so much, truly. Katie C.California
We've had a lovely time. My husband's request for his 70th birthday was to be on SeaDream in the Caribbean, and we've really enjoyed it. SeaDream is by far, the best cruise line in the Caribbean. Catherine B.Great Britain
