* SeaDream Yacht Club named as “Best Specialist Cruise Line” *
As voted by UK readers, SeaDream Yacht Club has been named as “Best Specialist Cruise Line” in the Cruise International 2013 Awards. Pictured at the awards ceremony, held yesterday afternoon at London’s British Film Institute, SeaDream Yacht Club UK Managing Director, Andy Magowan received the prestigious award from TV Presenter, Jenni Falconer in front of an audience of industry colleagues. Says Andy Magowan: “This is indeed a special accolade for us to receive such recognition as a niche operator in the UK marketplace, with our two boutique vessels, the 112-guest SeaDream I and II. I am honoured to accept this award with great pride on behalf of not only the UK sales team but also the on-board and on-shore teams – it is their dedication and professionalism that make all this possible.” Editor of consumer travel magazine Cruise International, Liz Jarvis said: “2013 has been a brilliant year for the cruise industry, with fabulous new ship launches and exciting new itineraries. Our awards celebrate the very best of the cruise industry and because they are voted for by the holidaymakers themselves, they are an excellent benchmark of consumer opinion.” The twin vessels, mega yachts SeaDream I and II sail traditionally on 7-night voyages to the Mediterranean and Caribbean. The winter 2013/2014 season, however, will see SeaDream II positioned in Asia for the first time; while in summer 2014 SeaDream I will operate eight Baltic and Norwegian Fjord voyages, with a first-ever cruise from the UK - 14-night Baltic Capitals - departing 16 August, sailing round-trip from Dover. Chic and stylish, SeaDream’s 56-stateroom twin yachts are favoured for their elegant informality, state-of-the-art facilities, personal service provided by a crew of 95, inclusive open bar and gratuities, ocean-view accommodations, luxury spa and world class cuisine. Itineraries include the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Costa Rica, Asia and the Baltic. “It’s yachting, not cruising”. Enjoy the difference.
