Ports

  • Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

The capital and largest city in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It has two ports of call for cruise vessels, Havensight and Crown Bay. SeaDream yachts are almost always docked at Crown Bay which is very close to the airport. In the event the yachts call to the island as a port of call rather than an embarkation point, you will find the yacht anchored in the bay and tendering downtown. The island has tons of history, beautiful beaches, a fantastic golf course and incredible shopping options.

  • Sandy Ground

This British Overseas Territory is becoming more popular due to the incredible resort options as well as world recognized beaches and amazing golf. SeaDream offers an opportunity to tee off, swim with dolphins or for the energetic, bike around the island with the Captain or Club Director. Naturally, we will also offer water sports while we are anchored off Sandy Ground.

  • Gustavia

Perhaps our most treasured destination in the Caribbean! This small island belonging to the French West Indies has so much to offer our SeaDream guests. Incredible shopping only steps away from the pier. Incredible beaches, resorts, restaurants and activities both day and night. SeaDream has created various land adventures for you to discover the island from sea or land. Ask one of the officers to take you on a hike or bike ride around the island. Another great activity here is to simply relax and watch all of the incredible yachts arriving and departing just off your SeaDream yacht.

  • Charlestown, Nevis

Nevis is one of our favorite islands, and we encourage you to explore Nevis beyond the small town to make the most of your visit! We offer several excellent and varied options for you to do so and still leave you with plenty of time on your own for the beach. Less commercial and laidback than its large neighbor St. Kitts, Nevis, at first glimpse, offers a stunning approach with dramatic views of the potentially active volcanic Nevis Peak (3,232 feet/985 meters). Your SeaDream tender will bring you within a few steps of the small town center. Charlestown does not offer too many sightseeing or shopping opportunities though the house where American statesman Alexander Hamilton was born is only a short walk away along the waterfront (now the Museum of Nevis History). To enjoy Nevis to its full potential, we recommend that you divide your day into Morning, Lunch/Afternoon and Evening activities. Morning - Start your day by exploring the island, above or under water, on one of our fun optional Land Adventures. They are all enjoyable & exciting, and you will also support the local community. The Four Seasons Resort still offers incredible golf options as well as beautiful beach and dining facilities. Another option for lunch could be at Coconut Grove (less than ten minutes from Charlestown by taxi). Make sure to ask Gary, the owner, to show you his extensive wine & champagne cellar! Evening - For a romantic sunset with cocktails and a snack or dinner, we like to take the short drive to see Gillian, the owner of the charming Bananas Restaurant, which offers lovely views surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Of course, there is also Sunshine's Beach Bar & Grill, home of the famous "Killer Bee" Caribbean rum drink. We hope that the above recommendations allow you to plan your special day on Nevis. Now, all you have to do is to decide which of the optional morning activities to join.

  • South Friars Bay

South Friar's Bay offers SeaDream guests a new way to explore the island of St. Kitts. Rather than docking at the capital, the yacht will be anchored in the bay. This particular bay is one of the two bays stretching along the coast of the isthmus connecting the Southeast Peninsula, with the rest of the island of Saint Kitts. From swimming and snorkeling on the south side to body surfing on the north, Friar's Bay offers guests several options. Many locals consider the southern beach the best on the island. If you are thirsty, no worries as there are multiple beach bars, offering various food and beverage options. The island itself offers several land adventure options including the Unesco Awarded Brimstone Fortress, Zip Lines, off road adventures and golf at the Royal St. Kitts.

  • Soper's Hole, Tortola

This marina on Tortola's West End retained its quaint charm while being a center of activity and voted the best marina in the BVIs. Soper's Hole imparts a great sense of place and physical intimacy and is considered one of the most picturesque marinas in the Caribbean. SeaDream is offering several land adventures including, snorkeling, scuba diving, land rover safari and swimming with the dolphins. For guests wanting some extra activity, ask the Captain or Club Director to set up a bike ride to Road Town along the coastal road. For guests wanting to simply shop or explore the marina, we suggest checking out Pusser’s Landing along with the cute boutiques.

  • Norman Island

Norman Island is located at the southern tip of the British Virgin Islands. It could very well be the very same island reputed to be the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's pirate novel Treasure Island. It is said that the island was named after a pirate who purchased it at some point during the early 18th century. The island is uninhabited and privately owned by Dr Henry Jarecki. Its area is about 600 acres (2.4 km²), and it is about 2.5 miles (4 km) long. A large harbor is known as "The Bight" offers one of the most protected anchorages in the area. Guests will enjoy some great hiking opportunities as well as snorkeling and scuba diving. Another attractive option may be to check out the Willie T that is generally anchored in the harbor or simply have a beverage at the Pirates Bight Bar.

  • White Bay, Jost van Dyke

The BVI’s barefoot island and home of the "Painkiller" drink. Population depends on the month – typically 250-300. This is another SeaDream destination where you may be served Champagne and Caviar in the surf followed by a beach barbecue lunch. A hike is always offered to guests to visit the famous Foxy’s Bar at Great Harbour (hopefully, the boutique is open) or you can stroll a few meters down the beach to the Soggy Dollar Bar. Snorkeling equipment is provided as well as some of our water toys!

  • Antigua

The yacht will be docked at St. John's Cruise Port in the heart of the capital, St. John's. Port Agent: GEO. W. Bennet Bryson & Co. Ltd. PO Box 162 Friars Hill Road St. John's, Antigua West Indies Tel: (268) 480-1200 Fax: (268) 462-0320 Brysons Shipping Customs & Brokerage Tel: (268) 480-1240 /1/2/3/4 Fax: (268) 462-0170 email: [email protected] Special Notes Regarding Antigua: ***Important notice for voyages terminating in Antigua*** Due to possible customs & immigrations delays, we encourage that guests only book flights departing after 12:30pm local time. ***Tourist Tax for stays 24 Hours or Longer*** Local authorities have imposted a $30 USD tourist tax per person, payable in cash, for stays in Antigua 24 hours or more. • Norman Island - Snorkeling at Treasure Island

    Description

This delightful snorkel trip includes a scenic boat journey between the British Virgin Islands to the famed Caves at Norman Island with a reputed history of piracy and immortalized in Robert Louis Stevenson's famous book: "Treasure Island". Norman Island has a rich documented history of acting as a hiding spot for pirate booty. Documented history for the island dates back to the early 18th century when a Spanish treasure galleon called Nuestra Senora de Guadelope buried 55 chests of silver coins after the crew mutinied aboard the ship. Although much of the treasure has been discovered by Tortolan residents and later by Lieutenant-General of the Leeward Islands, Gilbert Fleming, more pirate treasure is rumored to exist today on Norman Island. The adventure begins with boarding a twin-engine Snorkel Launch for a scenic 35-minute ride across the scenic Sir Francis Drake Channel to two of the B.V.I.'s prime snorkel sites. Your experienced Snorkel Instructor will take you snorkeling at the uninhabited and legendary Caves at Treasure Point (Norman Island) where pirate treasure is said to have been hidden! A second snorkel stop is planned at the pristine surroundings at The Indians before returning back to your SeaDream Yacht.
