Ports

  • Lisbon

Lisbon is the capital as well as the largest city in Portugal. It is one of the oldest cities in the world. Lisbon has two sites listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Sites: Belem Tower and Jeronimos Monastery. The city stretches along the banks of the Tejo river. This is primarily an embark/debark port of call for SeaDream.

  • At Sea

  • Tenerife, Canary Islands

Tenerife is the largest of the seven Canary Islands, Spain. Tenerife also boasts the highest elevation of Spain, and has been awarded World Heritage Site status. It happens to be the third largest volcano in the world from its base, El Teide at more than 12,000 ft/ 3,660 m. The island's capital contains the architectural symbol of the Canary Islands, the modern Auditorio de Tenerife. Hugely popular, Tenerife, has both flat areas (covered with banana plantations) and mountainous areas. Santa Cruz is where you'll find a wide variety of shopping opportunities and fascinating architecture. If golf is your game, the island offers eight championship courses to choose from. The yacht docks at the commercial pier and guests have some nice land adventures to choose from. If this happens to be your embarkation point, we can happily provide transfer information for you.

  • Marigot

Marigot is the main town and capital on the French side of Saint Martin. The city of Marigot is perhaps the most French in spirit of all the cities in the Caribbean. Colonial houses stand beside cafés and bistros, pastry shops and luxury boutiques, and in many ways, it looks just like any of the French market towns you might expect to find in Europe. At the southern end of town by the harbor is Marina Port la Royale. This area includes elegant stores with the latest in European designer fashion and fine jewelry, all duty and tax-free. The entire city is only four streets wide, so it is very easy to get around. Marigot was named the capital during the reign of King Louis XVI, who built Fort St. Louis on a hill near Marigot Bay. Today, that building is the most important in the city. SeaDream anchors off Marigot and offers several yachting land adventures as well as the possibility to play with the toys at the marina.

  • Marigot - The Zip-Line Lovers Zip Line - Extreme

    Description

Do you love zipping through treetops? Have you done zip lines before? Did you always feel that the zip lines were too short or too few? Did the rides always leave you wanting more? Then this is your kind of trip! This one is amazing! After being outfitted at the station at the bottom of the lush valley, an open-air truck takes you on a short drive up, almost to the top of the mountain. Soon you find yourself high above the regular fly-zone down below and enjoying spectacular views of Marigot and the verdant valley. Welcome to the "jungle." A short "practice" zip starts you off. From then on you begin to make your way down into the valley along longer zip lines, with some of them 50 to 60 feet (15-18 meters) above the ground. There are also series of obstacles and rope bridges to break up the zipping but for the most part this is all about the exhilarating fun of zipping from tree to tree.

  • Lisbon - Snapshots of Lisbon

    Description

This unique overview of this UNESCO Awarded city is created for disembarking guests. This introduction provides a look at the highlights of Portugal’s charming capital. As you head to the oldest part of the city, your licensed guide will point out some of the major sights that can be enjoyed from the motor coach: The Alfama Quarter: The layout of this ancient quarter will intrigue you with its ambiance, maze of alleyways and narrow, cobbled streets lined by closely packed houses, many of Moorish design. Continue with your drive through the city center to Alto do Parque Belvedere for a photo stop and to enjoy the magnificent view over the city. 25 April Bridge and Christ the King Statue: From the viewpoint depart across the beautiful 25th April Bridge, twin of San Francisco’s Golden Gate, and constructed by the same company. Originally named the Ponte Salazar after the Portuguese dictator Antonio Salazar, it was renamed in 1974 in honor of the date of the Carnation revolution. Once across the span, you will pause for photos at the base of the Monument Chris the King, a 361-foot high statue portraying the sacred heart. It was inspired by the Christ the Redeemer statue overlooking Rio de Janeiro. Jeronimos Monastery: Crossing the bridge once again proceed to this 16th-century architectural masterpiece designed in Gothic Manueline style. The riches brought back by Portuguese explorers paid for this splendid religious monument. (Exterior view of the monastery’s church.) Belém Tower: Next, proceed to Lisbon’s prominent landmark dominating the bank of the Tagus River. From this lavishly decorated tower, Portuguese explorers were given a rousing send-off. (Photo stop) Monument to the Discoveries: Close by stands this monumental sculpture, built to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the death of Prince Henry, the mastermind navigator behind Portugal's voyages of exploration and subsequent fantastic wealth. (Photo stop) Leaving the Belém area, you will be taken back to the pier or to the Airport.
