Ports

  • Malaga

Malaga, together with adjacent towns and municipalities such as Rincon de la Victoria, Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Alhaurin de la Torre, Mijas, and Marbella, forms the Malaga Metropolitan area. The important cultural infrastructure and the rich artistic heritage have culminated in the nomination of Malaga as a candidate for the 2016 European Capital of Culture. The internationally acclaimed painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso and actor Antonio Banderas were both born in Malaga. SeaDream calls to Malaga both as an embarkation point as well as a typical port of call. Kindly check on the land adventures tab to see all of the activities and options. Should you need embarkation information, it’s also available there.

  • At Sea

  • Tenerife, Canary Islands

When you alight in spectacular Tenerife, you’ll immediately sense that you are in a land of superlatives. Although the largest of the Canary Islands, it packs a remarkable diversity of natural and historical landmarks in its relatively small size. Looming above all is 12,198-foot-tall Mount Teide, the highest elevation on Spanish territory and the world’s third largest volcano as measured from its base. While exploring Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, you’ll encounter an otherworldly scenery of hardened lava flows, dormant craters and uniquely shaped rock formations. Tenerife also contains an impressive diversity of flora, with over 1,400 species of plants scattered throughout the island, including the stunningly unusual crimson-flowered Tenerife bugloss. In the capital of Santa Cruz, visit the intriguing remains of San Cristóbal Castle for a look at the cannon that blew off most of Rear-Admiral Horatio Nelson’s arm in 1797. A few miles away you’ll find the lovely town of La Laguna, another UNESCO site due to its exceptionally preserved 15th- to 17th-century architecture, a blueprint for future cities in the New World such as Havana and Cartagena. And with countless beaches both expansive and cozy, Tenerife might just offer the perfect getaway.

  • Bridgetown

SeaDream uses the port of Bridgetown as the hub for their Southern Caribbean voyages as well as some voyages that cross the Atlantic. The Island itself includes UNESCO Heritage Sites, excellent beaches and history dating back to 1628. The climate is tropical with constant warm temperatures during the year cooled by light trade winds.
