Civitavecchia is a major port located in Rome, primarily utilized for maritime transportation of goods, as well as a fishing port. The commune’s name means “ancient town” and is one of the “Motorways of the Sea” in the Mediterranean, functioning as one of the main links between the mainland of Italy and Sardinia. The ancient name of the port was “Centumcellae,” first mentioned in a letter written by Pliny the Younger in 107 A.D., although scholars debate on whether the name was about the number of rooms of the Trajan Villa, or the number of natural creeks on the coast. Civitavecchia is a part of the Lazio Territory, an area which was confirmed to have social groups since pre-historic times, and the modern town was built over a pre-existing settlement of the Etruscan people in 107-108 B.C.E. (who debated to have founded Rome).
In the beginning of the 2nd century, the harbor and town of Centumcellae were simultaneously developed by Emperor Trajan in the territory of Aquae Tauri. As the town became more popular for ships traveling westbound, the Thermal Baths were constructed on the hill of Ficoncella. Centumcellae flourished in the Imperial Age, and by 538 A.D., it had become a Byzantine stronghold. In 728 A.D., it became a member of the Papal States. The Saracens raided Centumcellae many times in the 9th century, prompting Pope Leo VII to have a newer and more secure settlement built by 854. The town, then known as Civita Vetula, was under the rule of several lords, and the Popes temporarily lost control during the French Rule in 1798-1815. In 1870 it entered the Kingdom of Italy. Civitavecchia was severely damaged during WWII, destroying many of the ancient monuments including Forte Michelangelo, which would be rebuilt in the 1950’s.
Popular points of interest include the Forte Michelangelo, Terme Taurine, and Cattedrale di San Francesco. There is a wealth of Roman and Vatican architecture and tourists are encouraged to visit many of the museums and take the cultural tours available in this important sea port.
Bonifacio is one of our favorite arrivals! As we approach, the Captain navigates along the limestone cliffs giving guests a sea view of incredible Bonifacio as well as the great Aragon steps leading to the water’s edge. Shortly after the pilot will embark and the Captain will turn the yacht around and back into this very impressive fjord-like marina. This could be one of our highest rated arrivals as the guests always find it both impressive and awe inspiring.
Ponza is a truly delightful island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, is part of the Pontine Island group and located in the region of Lazio. The island is uniquely shaped like a crescent moon. Its glistening blue coastline is varied and dramatic with several rocky coves and sandy beaches as well as numerous grottos, caves and craggy cliffs. The island has crystal clear waters and is ideal for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. You may want to explore some of the magnificent beaches or ask the officers to lead a nice bike ride across the island. Depending on the sea conditions and approval from the local authorities, we plan on offering full water sports anchored off this Italian gem.

Positano is one of the most picturesque villages along the UNESCO awarded Amalfi Coast (Costiera Amalfitana), in Campania, Italy. The town itself is perched on an enclave on the face of a hill and winds down towards the sea. This incredible setting has been enjoyed by writers, movie stars and millions of tourist each year. John Steinbeck visited in the 50's and stated “Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.” The movie "Under the Tuscan Sun" and several others have been shot on location here. Besides the incredibly romantic atmosphere, it offers excellent shopping, beautiful beaches, hiking trails and a few world recognized and award winning hotels such as Le Sirenuse and Il San Pietro di Positano amongst others. As large coaches cannot navigate down to the pier, only private arrangements are available here. You can book a very nice sedan or van to take you to the neighboring villages or even to Pompeii. As SeaDream anchors just of the pier, you may have the opportunity to access the yachts marina and water toys (conditions and local approval permitting).

Sitting pretty in the Gulf of Naples, just off the Sorrentine Peninsula, the island of Capri is well known today for its breathtaking landscapes and upscale beach resorts. The island has two harbors, Marina Piccola and Marina Grande. While human presence on the island can be dated back to the Neolithic and the Bronze Age, it was Emperor Augustus who most famously developed Capri by building villas, temples, and planted gardens. Popular to both visitors and native Italians alike, Capri is known for its boutique hotels, trendy restaurants, and annual international film festival, and is a favorite yachting destination. The island also offers many historic landmarks and highlights, including Grotta Azzurra, Villa Jovis, Giardini di Augusto, Certosa di San Giacomo, Villa San Michele di Axel Munthe, and the uniquely shaped Faraglioni Rocks. Mt. Solero marks the highest point of Capri, at 589 meters (about 1932 ft) at its peak. There is also a statue of Emperor Augustus on the mount, who first landed on Capri, over 900 species of vegetation, and, of course, incredible views. Two different hiking routes lead up the mountain and are worthy of exploration.

Departing from Bonifacio by van, you will arrive at Sant’ Amanza beach to begin this excursion. There is a short briefing with the instructor before heading out with your guide. Experience the ride on the jet ski alone, or doubled up (you pay per jet ski used) and take in the stunning beauty surrounding you on a palette of turquoise blue sea. During this 90-minute ride you will cruise to Cavallo Island. This is internationally famous private island has a nature sanctuary and is located between Corsica and Sardinia, in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. If the weather permits, you will also visit the archipelago of the Lavezzi Islands. Enjoy cruising through the Marine Park and discovering the local islands on your jet ski. There is an hour at the end to enjoy the beach and drive back to Bonifacio to your yacht.

This experience includes moderate walking over uneven, paved, and occasionally inclined surfaces in the old town. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Due to the walking sections, steps, and terrain, it is not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties. Discover the dramatic coastline of Bonifacio and marine reserve of Lavezzi Island on this private zodiac excursion.
From the pier, board your private zodiac boat for an unforgettable cruise along the coastline of Bonifacio. Discover the dramatic sight of the citadel and the upper town from sea level. Observe the best perspective of Bonifacio’s buildings overhanging the magnificent chalky cliffs which look like they are about to topple into the sea.
This exploration starts at the marine caves which are home to numerous birds including falcons, puffins, and swifts. Upon exiting the harbor via the inlet, you will witness the ramparts which encircle the old city. After passing the limestone cliffs, you will reach the Sdragonatu Marine Cave (dragon’s cave) to take in its gloriously colored seabed with a single huge chamber and a hole in the roof shaped like a map of Corsica.
Continue to the Lavezzi Islands which make up one of Corsica’s two marine reserves and offers sanctuary to many wildlife and plants species. These uninhabited granite islands are located seven miles south-east of Bonifacio, they are seemingly adrift on a turquoise-emerald sea, the color of which varies with the skies overhead. This island houses also numerous paths to discover different islets and coves. There are several rare species of wildflowers, including the yellow horned poppy and white sea daffodil, and Lavezzi Island was declared a nature reserve in 1982. In 2023 Lavezzi island became a national protected site and stopping on the island cannot be guaranteed, this is in order to limit tourism and preserve the island. There will be time to swim and snorkel at one of its beautiful shell or sandy beaches. Or simply take in the superb views of the azure-colored sea while relaxing on the island. On the return, you will pass Cavallo Island and Pointe de Sperone before cruising along the calanque and Bonifacio cliffs to your waiting SeaDream yacht at the marina.

Drive along Ponza’s winding coastal roads on a private, air-conditioned coach, accompanied by your guide who introduces the island’s landscapes and villages. Departing from the quay, you travel first through the colorful district of Santa Maria, where pastel houses cluster around narrow lanes, before continuing toward Le Forna, Ponza’s traditional fishing village. The route follows a scenic ridge road lined with whitewashed homes and small courtyards, leading to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the island’s eastern coastline and harbor.
From this elevated vantage point, a short ascent of a few steps reveals sweeping views across terraced cliffs and cobalt waters. The return journey follows the island’s most scenic stretch, where the wild silhouette of Palmarola appears on the horizon. Before concluding the tour, your coach pauses above Chiaia di Luna, Ponza’s crescent-shaped beach framed by towering cliffs, offering a final opportunity to photograph one of the island’s most celebrated natural landmarks from above.

Guests are required to walk approximately 100 meters (330 feet) between the quay and the bus at both the beginning and conclusion of the tour. A few steps are necessary at one of the panoramic viewpoints. Please note that shops on the island typically close between 1 PM and 4:30–5 PM. Ponza’s roads are narrow and winding, with frequent curves; guests who are sensitive to motion may wish to take this into consideration. During peak summer months, traffic on the island may be heavier. Isola di Ponza is made up of spectacular bays, breathtaking cliffs, beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters. Some of the beauty of the island can only be truly appreciated by boat. On this Yachting Land Adventure you will cruise past the famous caves of Pilate, the ancient Roman pools entirely carved into the rock. Continuing on you navigate under the breathtaking Guardia Lighthouse built on a rock 80 meters high. Traveling around the point you will witness the stunningly beautiful beach of Chiaia di Luna.
Your island circumnavigation continues around Capo Bianco toward the Bay of Lucia Rosa featuring natural pools and the lovely cove called Ferns. As the ship returns to the harbor you can see the natural arch and visit the Core beach to admire a black heart set in the white rock. Close by is the famous Frontone Beach, with its unique cliffs in the shape of the Greek pediments. During the trip, there are usually two stops of about 30 minutes for swimming. The captain decides where and when to stop as it depends on the conditions of the day.

Perched on a 350-foot-high cliff overlooking the Gulf of Naples, is the intimate hillside village of Ravello. Travel by minibus up the mountain on this Yachting Land Adventure to discover Ravello's charms and visit Villa Rufolo with the garden that inspired Richard Wagner. Walk with your guide through this lovely village and enjoy approximately 45 minutes on your own to explore its shops and peek inside the cathedral, founded in 1086, which contains two medieval pulpits, Roman sarcophagi & paintings by southern Renaissance artist Andrea da Salerno.
Afterwards, enjoy a welcome aperitif at a local hotel in Ravello with outstanding views of the Amalfi coastline before driving back to Amalfi town. Upon arrival in Amalfi, the guide will take you on a walking tour of the main center including a visit of the cathedral and its cloister before returning to the yacht.

Your journey begins as you travel from Amalfi through mountain roads toward Pompeii while admiring Mount Vesuvius, the still-active historic volcano located 15 miles southeast of Naples. Entering Pompeii by foot at the Sea Gate you are soon in the Agorà, surrounded by temples, porticoes, and law courts.
20,000 people lived in this provincial town, of whom 2,000 perished in the catastrophic eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Twenty feet of ashes and pumice stone covered Pompeii, much of which has been removed during the last 200 years to reveal details of everyday life. The mosaic floors and the brilliant frescoes that so delighted the Pompeians shine forth in all their undiminished glory. Explore baths and theaters, the wrestling ground, and luxurious villas and gardens, complete with plaster casts of the locals at the moment of Vesuvius’s eruption. Begin your exploration along Amalfi’s seaside promenade, Via delle Repubbliche Marinare, and walk into Piazza Municipio, known locally as “Campolillo,” once the heart of the ancient quarter of St. Angelo intra Moenia. Follow your guide through a network of narrow Moorish alleyways, passing the historic “Alley Trap,” where defenders once protected the Maritime Republic. Enter the monumental Cathedral of St. Andrew complex to visit the Cloister of Paradise, the Basilica of the Crucifix with its frescoed chapels, the Sacred Treasure Museum, and the 13th-century Crypt housing the relics of the Apostle.
Continue through the historic center, crossing Santa Maria Maggiore Square and walking beneath the stone vaults of Supportico Rua toward Piazza Santo Spirito. Here, pause beside the medieval Venetian-style balcony and the distinctive “Capa e Ciuccio” fountain, where mules returning from the Valley of the Ironworks were once watered. This guided walking tour covers the highlights of Sorrento. Visit the Valley of the Mills, where a thick canopy of centuries old greenery has enveloped an enchanted kingdom of its own. Meet your guide at the pier and board a private minibus for the transfer to Anacapri, the island’s higher village. Upon arrival, proceed to the chairlift station and ascend to Monte Solaro, the highest point on Capri. From the summit, take in sweeping views across the Bay of Naples before descending by chairlift. Continue with a guided walk through Anacapri’s narrow lanes, where local shops and small squares reflect the character of this quieter side of the island.
Continue by minibus to Capri Town for a guided visit of its main highlights.
