Description
The best way to see the friendly island of St. Maarten / St. Martin, the smallest island shared between two nations, is to take an island tour. You will depart Marigot Port and travel towards Bellevue, where you will cross the border to the Dutch side. The first stop will be the Cay Hill Lookout Point, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view over Simpson Bay Lagoon and the blue waters of the Caribbean. The next stop will be Philipsburg, capital of the Dutch side, where you can enjoy shopping on Front Street or a leisurely stroll along the Boardwalk. You will depart Philipsburg and will be driven to beautiful Oyster Pond, where you will cross the border again to the French side, and will follow along Coralita Beach to the next photo op. There, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a picturesque lookout point over the impressive Atlantic coast and the islands of Tintamarre and St Barth. After a short stop, you will drive through Quartier d'Orléans, better known as French Quarter, past well known Orient Beach and Grand Case, culinary capital of the Caribbean, before arriving back to Marigot. Here you will have time to visit the outdoor seaside market, where amongst Caribbean souvenirs, local art work, and hand-made jewelry, products from Provence, France, can also be found. The West Indies Mall is just around the corner with its upscale French boutiques. Your tour guide will meet the guests that wish to return to the yacht at the pre-determined time at the Tender pier, to ensure guests return safely to the yacht.
