Board 4x4 vans for a portion of the ascent to one of the greatest European Volcanos - Mt. Etna. Admire the unique volcanic scenery and at the base of the crater where a alpine guide will escort you to the 2,800 meter level for magnificent views of the volcanic craters of Etna!

Depart from the port for a dramatic drive via air-conditioned motor coach to the slopes of Europe's largest active volcano. The road winds its way through small villages, lemon groves, orchards, vineyards, chestnut and pinewoods. Gradually encounter the hardened lava fields scattered with volcanic cones. Enjoy the view from the Silvestri Craters located at an altitude of 6200 feet and surrounded by hardened lava flow. Appreciate this eerie, unique scenery and travel to the next level by cable car. Finally, board 4x4 vans for the drive to the base of the crater, to meet Alpine guides who lead the twenty-minute walk up as close as possible to the crater's edge. Description

Enjoy the unique scenery of the greatest European volcano and enjoy a visit plus wine tasting at one of the best-known vineyards in the region.

The excursion begins with a brief drive through the town of Naxos, founded by Greek colonizers in 8th century BC. Ride along the flanks of Mt Etna and continue to the village of Viagrande, situated on a hill on the slopes of Mount Etna. Viagrande is famous for being mentioned in the first novel (“Nedda”) of the Sicilian writer Giovanni Verga.

This village is also known for its vineyards and especially for its gastronomic traditions. The tour continues to the Benanti Winery Monte Serra estate for a sample of several the winery's finest vintages, paired with tastings of local cheese, sun-dried and fresh tomatoes, green and black olives, salami and bruschetta. The winery visit also includes the vineyard and the historical oak barrel room.

Discover the ancient ruins of Pompeii and find out how the Ancient Romans lived and worked this informative guided tour. Your journey begins as you travel from Amalfi through mountain roads toward Pompeii while admiring Mount Vesuvius, the still-active historic volcano located 15 miles southeast of Naples. Entering Pompeii by foot at the Sea Gate you are soon in the Agorà, surrounded by temples, porticoes, and law courts.

20,000 people lived in this provincial town, of whom 2,000 perished in the catastrophic eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Drive along Ponza’s winding coastal roads on a private, air-conditioned coach, accompanied by your guide who introduces the island’s landscapes and villages. From this elevated vantage point, a short ascent of a few steps reveals sweeping views across terraced cliffs and cobalt waters. The return journey follows the island’s most scenic stretch, where the wild silhouette of Palmarola appears on the horizon. Description

Isola di Ponza is made up of spectacular bays, breathtaking cliffs, beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters. Some of the beauty of the island can only be truly appreciated by boat. On this Yachting Land Adventure you will cruise past the famous caves of Pilate, the ancient Roman pools entirely carved into the rock. Continuing on you navigate under the breathtaking Guardia Lighthouse built on a rock 80 meters high. Traveling around the point you will witness the stunningly beautiful beach of Chiaia di Luna.

Your island circumnavigation continues around Capo Bianco toward the Bay of Lucia Rosa featuring natural pools and the lovely cove called Ferns. As the ship returns to the harbor you can see the natural arch and visit the Core beach to admire a black heart set in the white rock. Close by is the famous Frontone Beach, with its unique cliffs in the shape of the Greek pediments. During the trip, there are usually two stops of about 30 minutes for swimming. The captain decides where and when to stop as it depends on the conditions of the day.

Board the awaiting boat for a captivating exploration of Bonifacio's coastline, where you'll glide past the base of the white cliffs and pass in front of the enchanting Grotte Sdragonatu, the largest of the three caves, adorned with stunning hues of amethyst, indigo, and gold, along with intricate stalactites and arches. Weather permitting, you'll also discover the St. Antoine and St. Barthelemy Caves, and witness the majestic staircase of the King of Aragon carved into the limestone cliffs, all while enjoying vistas of the neighboring Italian island of Sardinia.

Upon returning to the marina, embark on a scenic journey aboard a mini-train, ascending up to the oldest part of Bonifacio. En route, your guide will provide insightful commentary as you pass notable landmarks including the Bosco quarter, the St. Francis convent, and the intriguing cemetery dedicated to mariners. Upon reaching the historic center, you'll explore narrow streets flanked by towering granite houses, visiting architectural gems like the Romanesque and Baroque-style church of St. Marie Majeure and the historic Two Emperors Street, where Napoleon Bonaparte and Charles V once stayed.

This experience includes moderate walking over uneven, paved, and occasionally inclined surfaces in the old town. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Due to the walking sections, steps, and terrain, it is not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties. The boat portion operates outdoors and may be affected by sea or wind conditions, and the itinerary may be reversed based on operational needs. The boat offers shade but has no restroom or air conditioning. Shops in Bonifacio may close from 12pm to 2pm outside of July and August. The mini train used to reach the upper town is not air conditioned.

This Yachting Land Adventure must be confirmed no later than 72 hours (3 days) prior to arrival in port; bookings may still be accepted after this deadline, up to the time of arrival, if space is available. Please note that cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival in port are non‑refundable.
