The Bahamas burst with their abundant stunning beaches, untouched nature, and distinct biodiversity—nestled in an archipelago of sheltered cays and islets, best discovered from the perspective of your intimate SeaDream yacht. Sail roundtrip from Palm Beach, and begin by exploring untouched Andros Island, where mangrove estuaries and underwater caves have created haven for scuba divers and snorkelers. Discover Great Exuma Island, its waters so clear and aquamarine-blue they are visible from space, and its powdery white-sand beaches, deserted cays, and exclusive golf resorts fringing the coastline. Relax under the shade of pine trees at Gordon’s Beach, the southernmost white-sand stretch on Long Island. Explore the isle from the perspective two of its most impressive natural wonders, the Hamilton Caves, dripping with stalactites, and Dean’s Blue Hole, the world’s second-deepest saltwater blue hole, surrounded by limestone bluffs. Uncover San Salvador, one of the Bahamas’ smallest inhabited islands, boasting sparkling inland lakes, reef-filled sea waters, miles of secluded white-sand beaches, and dive sites teeming with sea life. Swim with native pigs in the unsung paradise of Staniel Cay and explore Grand Bahama’s Taino Beach, a secluded escape of soft-white sand.

  • Andros Island - Androsia Batik & Captain Bill Blue Hole

    Description

Discover the artistry and natural beauty of Andros on a curated journey that combines island craftsmanship with one of the Bahamas’ most extraordinary natural wonders. Travel from the tender landing at Small Hope Bay Lodge to the Androsia Batik factory, where artisans demonstrate the traditional hand-waxing and dyeing techniques used to create the island’s signature fabric. Walk through the production rooms to observe each stage of the process, from design to drying.

Guests are then invited to participate in a hands-on Batik workshop, guided through the process of applying wax and printing their own design. Each participant creates a personalized piece, selecting from two color options before the Androsia team completes the dyeing process. Finished items are prepared by the studio and shipped directly to participants’ home addresses approximately one week later.

Continue inland to Captain Bill’s Blue Hole, a remarkable freshwater blue hole set within pine forest. Upon arrival, a local guide introduces the surrounding flora during an engaging bush medicine presentation, explaining how specific plants have been traditionally prepared and used. A safety briefing follows before guests descend to the water’s edge, where the vivid sapphire pool reveals impressive depth and clarity framed by limestone rock.

Enter the calm waters for a supervised swim in this naturally formed blue hole, home to unique cave fish and small invertebrates found only in these ecosystems. Guests may choose to enter the water gradually from the edge or enjoy the thrill of jumping in, depending on their comfort level. Light refreshments and cookies are served at the site, allowing time to relax and absorb the quiet beauty of the setting before returning to the yacht. This thoughtfully paced excursion blends cultural heritage, creative participation, and refreshing immersion in one of Andros’ most distinctive landscapes.

    Notes

Guests must be able to manage steps at the tender landing at Small Hope Bay Lodge, at Androsia Batik, and when accessing Captain Bill’s Blue Hole. The setting at the Blue Hole is natural and undeveloped, and surfaces may be uneven, consisting of natural ground and rock. This tour is not wheelchair accessible. Captain Bill’s Blue Hole is a freshwater site rather than saltwater, and the water temperature is typically cooler than the surrounding sea, particularly upon entry. The depth increases quickly, and although swimming is supervised, participants should be comfortable in open natural water. Entry is from a natural edge rather than a gradual beach-style access. Androsia Batik features a fully stocked boutique where guests may browse and purchase locally crafted items. Guests are advised to bring both credit cards and cash, as Androsia accepts both forms of payment; however, the bush medicine portion accepts cash only. Guests are also recommended to bring a swimsuit with cover-up, hat, sunglasses, and comfortable walking shoes suitable for natural terrain.

  • Andros Island - Scuba Diving Adventure

    Description

Plunge into the clear turquoise waters off Andros Island on a guided scuba diving experience designed for certified divers (Open Water and higher certification levels). After a short tender transfer to Small Hope Bay Lodge, you will receive a comprehensive orientation before being fitted with full scuba equipment provided on site, including BCD, tank, regulator, mask, fins, weights, weight belt, and wetsuit.

Once suited and briefed, board the dive boat and head to a carefully selected reef site for a single-tank dive. The preferred location is the coral nursery site at approximately 40 feet, where thriving coral gardens attract schools of tropical fish weaving through the reef’s intricate formations. Your dive team will select the most suitable reef site based on the day’s conditions.

During your immersion of approximately 30 to 45 minutes, your professional dive team supervises the experience, ensuring coordinated entry, underwater guidance, and a safe ascent. After completing your dive, return by boat to shore and transfer back to Small Hope Bay Lodge. Guests will have time to enjoy a freshwater shower on the dock and may relax on the property, purchase a drink at the bar, visit the boutique for local merchandise, or stroll along the beach before returning to the yacht, concluding a focused and professionally guided diving experience in the pristine waters of the Bahamas.

    Notes

Participants must present valid scuba diving certification prior to participation; digital proof of certification is accepted upon check-in. Dive sites are selected on the day of operation based on prevailing sea and weather conditions to ensure safety. The waters surrounding Andros include sections of the Andros Barrier Reef and nearby wall formations, where visibility is often excellent but may vary depending on currents and conditions.
Scuba diving is not permitted for pregnant women. All participants must be medically fit for recreational diving. Certain medical conditions — including heart, lung, respiratory, seizure, ear, or sinus conditions — may require physician clearance prior to participation. Guests are responsible for ensuring they meet standard recreational scuba diving medical guidelines before reserving.

  • Gordon's Beach, Long Island - Hamilton Caves and Dean’s Blue Hole

    Description

Explore Long Island and experience two of its most impressive natural wonders – one dripping with stalactites, the other plunging 663 feet down into the world’s second-deepest saltwater blue hole!
Step aboard your air-conditioned bus at Gordon's Beach for an island exploration seeing its highlights: Gun Hill, the highest point in Clarence Town and the historic St. Peter and Paul church with stunning views of the harbor.

Next, travel along the scenic Queen’s Highway, to Hamilton’s Cave. Your expert guide leads you to survey the labyrinthine of darkness in the Bahamas’ largest cave system. Multiple chambers open to reveal impressive stalactites and stalagmites formed over centuries as well as many bats who (fortunately) mostly slumber during the daytime in the crevices of the caves.

Afterwards, you will return to the light of day for a short drive to the world-famous Dean’s Blue Hole. Surrounded by limestone bluffs and a splendid white-sand beach, this setting is idyllic for relaxing along the unspoiled Caribbean shore. But the real attraction here is to wade, or swim out, through the shallows to where the sandy seafloor suddenly disappears – suddenly dropping 663 feet into the world’s second-deepest saltwater blue hole. Or dare to be brave and adventurous by climbing up the rocky pathway and plunge into the blue depths below. All too soon it is time to rejoin your bus for the 45-minute drive to the yacht waiting at Gordon's Beach.

    Notes

This Yachting Land Adventure includes walking for approximately 1 hour over uneven ground with limited light at the cave and driving over somewhat rough road to reach Dean’s Blue Hole beach. Please wear flat, comfortable shoes suitable for the cave excursion, and dress in swimwear with cover-up for the beach visit. Be sure to bring along a hat, sunscreen, and your towel from the yacht. There is a restroom break on the tour. We recommend you bring US dollars to purchase any food or drink from the small local vendors.
