Description

Enjoy a panoramic drive through Cádiz en route to the beautiful village of Vejer de la Frontera. This quaint, whitewashed village is perched above the Barbate River and is a National Monument. Vejer is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful villages in Andalusia and also in all of Spain.

During your walking tour, explore a maze of narrow cobblestone streets, small plazas and remnants of the fortress walls built by the Muslims in the 11th century. See the beautiful Plaza de España and browse in the handicraft and souvenir shops. After the visit you will pause for a refreshment of tapas and drinks at a local restaurant.

The excursion continues, taking the scenic Atlantic Route for the drive to Conil de la Frontera. Keep an eye out for stunning countryside, passing through La Brena Natural Park -- a protected pine forest. On a clear day, enjoy breathtaking views across the Strait of Gibraltar to the coast of Morocco and Cape Trafalgar. Your guide will point out the lighthouse marking the bleak headland where Lord Horatio Nelson won the Battle of Trafalgar but lost his life. Enjoy some free time in Conil before returning to the pier.

Journey inland from the pier to the dramatic mountaintop town of Ronda, spectacularly set above the sheer cliffs of the El Tajo Gorge. This guided panoramic exploration reveals the city’s layered Moorish and Spanish heritage, beginning with an interior visit to the legendary Plaza de Toros, one of the oldest and most iconic bullrings in Spain, followed by the refined Palacio de Mondragón, a former Moorish palace known for its graceful courtyards and engaging historical exhibits.

Continue the guided walking tour towards the bullring. The Mijas bullring is quirky because of its unusual shape. It was built near the castle in 1900 due to high demand from the people of the area. However, because of the irregular shape and lie of the land where it was to be situated, it meant that they had to build an oval shape rather than the usual circle - making it unique in Spain.

Next on the itinerary is the Contemporary Art Center of Mijas, a venue boasting a prestigious connection with iconic cities like Paris, New York, Madrid, Barcelona, and Málaga. Located in the heart of Mijas village, this art museum proudly exhibits the works of Pablo Picasso. Inside, you'll find a captivating private collection featuring 400 original masterpieces, including some of Picasso's renowned works and the world's second-largest collection of Picasso ceramics. Description

Visit the Can Rich Winery with a tasting of local products including their locally grown wine and Ibizan Herbs.

Can Rich Winery, established in 1997, with 42 acres (17 hectares) of vines containing both traditional and imported grape varieties. At Can Rich, they have created a fusion of tradition and modernity and pioneered the use of organic farming techniques in their vineyard. They strive to ensure that their viticulture and respect for the natural environment is reflected in the quality of the products.

Upon arrival, the owner will welcome you with a brief talk about the winery and its history. Then an expert guide will explain, step by step, the wine production process as you walk through the vineyards and Ibizan herbal garden. Inside the winery you will see the process of winemaking and visit the aging area where the wine is stored in barrels and amphorae.

Afterward, you will have a tasting of the wines and local products on the porch of the winery overlooking the vineyard. Included in the tasting is the unique to Ibiza, Can Rich Ibizan Herbal liquor. This liquor is handmade following a centuries-old recipe that their ancestors left and has remain unchanged even today. Ibizan herbs are recognized as an exclusive autochthonous liquor from Ibiza and has been granted the category of Protected Geographical Indication, granted by the European Union. Your memories of this winery will stay with you as you return to Ibiza and the waiting yacht.
