Discover the town’s main attractions on a panoramic sightseeing drive including the Unirii Square, University Square, Victory Square, Charles de Gaulle Square, Arch of Triumph, Victory Avenue, the Revolution Square and visit the Palace of Parliament. Learn about the history of Bucharest and Romania that was dominated by the famous dictator Ceausescu.

Depart the port and travel by comfortable air-conditioned coach for approximately 3 hours to reach Bucharest, the Little Paris of the East and the 6th largest capital city of the European Union.

Your first stop will be at the Spring Palace, which served as residence for a quarter of century for Nicolae and Elena Ceausescu and their 3 children. You will discover here their beautiful mansion with an impressive art collection, and you will learn more about the life of the former Romanian head of state. Continue the tour of Bucharest and view the Herastrau Park – the largest park of the Romanian metropolis and the Arch of Triumph from the 20th century. Enjoy lunch at one of the top Romanian cuisine restaurants of Bucharest.

After lunch, drive to the Victory Square and then on the Victory Avenue passing through the Old Town to reach the Constitution Square where you will visit the Palace of Parliament. The second largest building in the world after The Pentagon in US, the massive building was built at the order of the late communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. A landmark for the Romanian capital, most people are impressed by its sheer size. It is the world’s largest administrative building (for civilian use) and the second-largest building in the world after the Pentagon in the US. It is also the world’s heaviest building, as it was made from 700,000 tons of steel and bronze, plus 1 million cubic meters of marble, 3,500 tons of crystal glass, and 900,000 cubic meters of wood. It has some 1,000 rooms and is 12 stories tall. Approximately 100,000 people worked to build this huge building, with some 20,000 people working in three shifts 24/7 in the peak periods. A few thousand workers died on the construction site, according to unofficial reports.

The People's House is now housing the Romanian Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, which is why it is now known as the Parliament's Palace. It also contains a museum, several conference and exhibition halls and salons which are used for a wide variety of other purposes. After visiting the palace, board the coach for the return drive back to the yacht in Constanta.
