Portuguese City of El Jadida - Day 2

Portuguese City of El Jadida - Day 2

Explore the charming Portuguese 'Medinas' of El Jadida in a collection of narrow streets, gates to mysterious passageways and a mixture of Portuguese, Arab, Andalusian, and Berber architectural styles.

Depart the pier in air-conditioned comfort as you begin a 75-minute scenic drive via the coastal road toward Morocco's Portuguese town - 'Mazagan' - also known as El Jadida meaning 'new one' to the Arabs. Explore El Jadida on foot accompanied by your tour guide and experience one of the first settlements created in Africa by Portuguese explorers on their way to India. Stroll inside the Medina and visit the Church of the Assumption and the great mosque inside the portuguese city (both from outside). The most interesting part of El Jadida is the Old Portuguese quarter.

Lastly, enjoy a short refreshment stop before re-boarding the coach to return to the pier and your SeaDream yacht in Casablanca.
