From Villefranche, your coach takes you to the village of Eze. This magical village clings like an eagle's nest to a rock spike towering 430 meters over the sea. Here you will have free time to explore the medieval village by entering the 14th century double crenelation entrance that includes an upward walk leading into the steep narrow streets. Walking along the cobblestone road you will pass by many carefully restored houses which are now smart boutiques or artists' studios. Streets of this town are closed to the traffic and the town can only be explored by foot. Be sure not to miss the magnificent views of the coast from the top. Before departing Eze, there will be a refreshment enjoyed at a local brasserie in the village.
Depart Eze village by traveling the sweeping curved road along the Mediterranean Sea to Cap Ferrat, a charming peninsula with a rich heritage and splendid villas. Here you will discover Villa Kerylos, which reveals another world, even though it dates to the same period of Villa Rothschild. Villa Kerylos is the dream of a very learned man, Mr. Theodore Reinach, that came true. He dedicated his life to politics in the higher circles, economics as a banker and historical research with a strong attraction for ancient Greece. See the display of Mediterranean mythology along the walls lavishly covered with frescoes, furniture custom made for the villa, beautiful architecture designed by Emmanuel Pontremoli. Mr. Reinach conceived this villa as an exquisite occasion to revive ancient Greece. On this excursion you have the fortunate opportunity to visit Kerylos Mansion and its extraordinary Mediterranean landscape, where beauty, culture and fortune collide. Afterward reboard the coach for the return to your yacht along the beautiful coastal road.
