Begin with a scenic 30-minute drive to Ainhoa, a charming town with a fascinating past. Nearly destroyed by the Spanish in 1629, Ainhoa was rebuilt in the 17th and 18th centuries, and today, its Labourd-style houses proudly display engraved dates and family names above their doorways, offering a glimpse into the region’s storied history.
A short 15-minute drive then takes you to the countryside of Sare, a village nestled beneath the impressive Rhune Mountain. Here, you’ll visit a traditional Basque farmhouse, beautifully preserved in its original style. Indulge in a tasting of local delicacies, including cheese, cold cuts, and the famous Basque cake, paired perfectly with refreshing cider.
Raise a glass in celebration of Basque culture before returning to the yacht, enriched by the flavors, history, and scenic beauty of this remarkable region.

Notes: This tour involves moderate activity level, with walking on uneven ground, village streets, and farmhouse areas. Some steps are required at the farmhouse in Sare. Guests should be comfortable walking and standing for extended periods. Flat, comfortable walking shoes are essential. This tour is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for guests with mobility limitations. The itinerary may operate in reverse depending on local conditions. A minimum number of participants is required to operate all Yachting Land Adventures, and some may have limited capacity.
