The Nordfjord is at its most captivating when experienced from water level, where silence, reflection, and scale define the journey. On this guided kayaking experience, you glide across glacially carved fjord waters, framed by steep mountain walls, cascading waterfalls, and distant icefields.

After a short walk from the ship, you are welcomed at the Olden Active base and introduced to your guide. Following a calm safety and paddling briefing, you set out in stable double kayaks designed for comfort and confidence. No prior kayaking experience is required , the pace is relaxed, with gentle instruction and support throughout.
As you paddle along the fjord, your guide shares stories of Olden’s history, Viking influences, and the powerful glaciers that shaped this landscape over thousands of years. Several pauses are made along the route, allowing time to absorb the scenery, take photographs, and enjoy the quiet rhythm of the water.

For added reassurance, a dedicated rescue boat follows the group throughout the experience, ensuring a high level of safety while preserving the sense of tranquility. This experience offers a quiet and immersive perspective on Olden’s dramatic landscape, combining gentle activity with the rare privilege of exploring the fjord at water level.

Notes: Participants must be at least 12 years of age, and all guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women or guests with back or neck problems. The experience involves a strenuous level of activity and requires approximately 2 hours of seated paddling. No prior kayaking experience is required; however, a basic level of fitness, mobility, and balance is necessary to enter the kayak from the dock and paddle independently. Guests will walk approximately 200 m (650 feet) each way between the pier and the Olden Active base over flat ground, taking about 5 minutes each direction. Tickets are sold per person based on a single seat in a double kayak. Equipment provided includes a paddle, buoyancy aid (personal flotation device/life jacket), spray skirt (splash cover), dry suit and wet shoes. A comfort stop is available at Mølla Gjestehus before and after the paddling experience. Guests are advised to dress in layers to accommodate changing weather conditions. Wildlife sightings are seasonal and cannot be guaranteed. The tour is weather dependent and may be modified or canceled for safety reasons.
A minimum participation is required to operate all Yachting Land Adventures, and some may have limited capacity. This SeaDream Yachting Land Adventure program is subject to changes or restrictions at any time. Final departure times will be advised on-board.
