The Nordfjord has long provided both sustenance and stories for the communities that line its shores. On this intimate RIB experience, you are invited to take part in a local tradition that blends fjord exploration with shared culinary enjoyment.

Departing from the pier in Olden, you board a RIB and glide across the calm, glacier-shaped waters of the Nordfjord. Towering mountains rise steeply from the water, their slopes carrying echoes of Viking tales and centuries of coastal life. Along the way, views toward Loen and the surrounding settlements add a gentle sense of place to the journey.
Crayfish pots have already been set in the fjord, and guests are invited to assist as they are carefully pulled from the water, a hands-on moment that connects you directly to the traditions of the sea. Should the catch be modest, additional crayfish are prepared ashore to ensure the experience remains complete.

Back on land, you gather at Mølla Gjestehus, where your crayfish are prepared over an open fire and served with fresh bread, butter, salad, and mayonnaise, accompanied by local cider or wine. The setting is informal and welcoming, encouraging conversation, laughter, and an appreciation for simple, well-prepared food.

This experience is less about speed and more about connection to place, to tradition, and to fellow guests, creating a warm and memorable highlight of Olden that reflects the same sense of refined ease and understated luxury you enjoy at sea.

Notes: Guests with dietary restrictions can be accommodated with suitable menu alternatives; advance notice of any dietary requirements is required to ensure arrangements can be made. The minimum age for participation is 12 years, and minors must be accompanied by an adult. Participants are advised to dress in layered clothing, wear flat shoes, and dress appropriately for prevailing weather conditions. All participants will be provided with a weatherproof suit, goggles, and a life jacket. Wildlife sightings are seasonal and cannot be guaranteed. The tour is weather dependent and may be modified or canceled for safety reasons.
A minimum participation is required to operate all Yachting Land Adventures, and some may have limited capacity. This SeaDream Yachting Land Adventure program is subject to changes or restrictions at any time. Final departure times will be advised on-board.
