Get ready for fresh sea air and Arctic wilderness as you set out by RIB into the dramatic island seascape surrounding Svolvær. This breathtaking archipelago of small islands, open ocean passages, and towering mountains rising straight from the water offers an immediate and powerful introduction to the raw beauty of Lofoten.

After meeting your guide at the pier for a safety briefing and suit fitting, you board an open RIB and venture beyond the harbor into coastal waters shaped by wind and waves. Traveling at an exhilarating yet controlled pace, you navigate between islands and across open stretches of sea while your guide interprets the landscape and its wildlife. Conditions shift with the light and weather, making each departure unique.

The region is home to a strong population of white-tailed sea eagles, offering an excellent chance to witness these majestic birds soaring above the fjords and cliffs. With wingspans exceeding 2.5 meters (8 feet), their presence captures the scale and drama of the Arctic environment. This is a true nature safari, immersive, wind-in-your-face exploration delivered with respect for safety and the surrounding wilderness.

Notes: Guests must be able to embark and disembark the RIB independently. This excursion is not recommended for pregnant women or for guests with back or neck injuries. The experience takes place aboard an open RIB, with full exposure to wind and sea spray. Sea conditions may vary depending on wind and swell, and while the vessel is operated by professional skippers, guests should be comfortable with speed, open-water movement, and occasional spray. The tour is weather dependent, and conditions can change during the excursion. Wildlife sightings, including white-tailed sea eagles commonly found in the area, cannot be guaranteed, as wildlife behavior is unpredictable. Warm, layered clothing is strongly recommended, along with waterproof shoes or boots that can get wet. Please note that there are no restroom facilities available during the excursion.
