Step inside the Holy Ghost Church, where Gothic architecture meets spiritual beauty This is one of Estonia's most perfectly preserved Gothic sanctuaries. Step inside, and you can admire medieval craftsmanship. Above you, intricate stone carvings dance across the ceiling, while elaborate wooden altarpieces tell stories of faith and devotion. Medieval frescoes peek from behind layers of history. Through the charming White Bread Passage, you'll emerge into Town Hall Square. The Gothic Town Hall dominates the skyline, its design reflecting the wealth and ambition of Tallinn's merchant guilds. Nearby, a remarkable piece of living history continues to thrive - Europe's oldest operating pharmacy, serving the community since 1422. Walk through the cobbled streets to the Masters yard at St Catherine’s Passage and see the masters at work in the medieval environment transformed for modern use as ateliers for fine handicraft works. You may either just watch masters at work or do some shopping as well. Then join your coach and drive beyond the Old Town walls to Kadriorg Park, Peter the Great's gift to his beloved Catherine. The park's elegant architecture and gardens create a serene atmosphere that transports visitors to the era of Russian imperial splendor. Enjoy a drink at a rest-stop at local café. Your journey continues to Maarjamäe, where history takes a profound turn. At the Memorial to Victims of Communism opened in 2018. The minimalist grandeur and archetypal imagery of the memorial engage the viewer up to a point of awe. The memorial is a direct physical and emotional manifestation of what good architecture can accomplish. Join the coach for the ride to port.
